This is a first cut of the stuff I've been playing with in the vinyl collaboration.
I plan to go film a few more things, but here is what i have so far.

Public Domain Footage Used

The blues song is called "Slave to the Blues" @publicdomain
Footage From- West Philly Blues @ Archive.org
Footage From- 1956 - Munnecke Family Sock Hop

Changes I want to make:

Take out old song with lyrics find old song without
remove record overlay, find more corresponding images like "sock hop"
Film ending.

2012 update- wow this was obviously before i learned about mpeg stream clip.. might go back to this.

I made a few tweaks that were bothering me from my last cut. Added a bit more footage. My plan is to go to a record pressing house and shoot there, but they are mom & pop and haven't opened up again since summer break. I would like to round this off with the idea that it is an artists responsibility to press their work, so we can have it for as long as we can. loved the work Jenromano did on the vinyl collab. I just tried to upload an aiff file for the audio of this video, but it didn't work. so i will see what i can do. but this is a tightened up version of Jen's awesome contribution.

Meet Francesca.

Francesca Neiman is an artist who often uses images of records and gramophones in her work. You can see one of her pieces in the background using this imagery.
