tears always help a heart ache, although this time, it's in a more unconventional way.

Mirtle's drawing gave me an idea, so I shot it tonight.  I'm not that great at photoshop, so please excuse the mess :)

Inspired by "A Mural for MoN" did by Bloemday. I love the beautiful shot of Hong Kong of MoN and did this remix ! ^^ Hope you like it Monique ! ;o)

The London city autopsies me and my sister made, side by side. The interesting part is we went to all the exact same places at the exact same time... and this is what we each collected from the trip.

this took nearly a full year after the original bass line & 'Ravens' RECords were released for me to 'crack' the idea for an arrangement that worked.
back in April 2011, i downloaded the audio stems that Albert, Sarah, and Matt uploaded to the site, and after trying some ideas that ended up not going aywhere, decided to put this REmix on hold until I could think of something suitable. Sometimes the best ideas come much later. Sometimes, it's better to put your impulses aside and allow time to pass...
in January 2012, I came up with the idea of looping Matt & Sarah's ending vocal lines which created the proper foundation, along with Albert's bass, for the song to move in a cohesive, structured direction. Everything else, the drums, guitar solo, format, followed suit.
And there you have it.

I had this big inspiration a few minutes ago, so I just had to record it... It's a tiny song I just wrote (it lasts only 1min10sec), and, because it was important for me to get the lyrics right, it's in Finnish! Hahaa I wonder how it sounds to you...

(For those who didn't know - shame on you! - Finnish is the language we speak in Finland which is a country in Northern Europe. You know, the country Conan O'Brien loves.)

About the idea:  The main character is searching. The area of mathematics is just an extent of conventionality, where we treat the idea, so, what he writes, actually does not make a big sense. For us the board becomes an interactive visual illustration –it’s like a marker of his not measured, anxious soul, that tries to escape to the light. That’s why the film is called "2Dsoul" . The board is like a window into his world. All around him is shouting that the world is magically wonderful, that everything, that surrounds him, is more alive than what he sets in life priorities. (For example, the scene of the erasure and jokes with the letters). But the hero tries to ignore it all, he continues struggling with the things that are, in fact, not so important, he tries to assert himself with his own activities. He did not expect such a discovery. The changing of life values has touched the hero once and forever. He was finally able to see what others do not notice. He just understood and realized that. The comprehension came to him irreversibly. The words on a board (at the beginning of the film) are telling us: those things, that really have power, sense and truth, can’t be said. You can only feel it. You can’t paint a picture of a great artist in the sand.

Here's some fun raw footage of a trapeze duet.

I used a section of Johnnyclyde's wonderful music ELECTRIC WINTER. (We filmed this piece in silenece with no music and I later found this song matched up perfectly.)

Where do I stop & you begin?  Thinking about IllustrationFriday prompt "Fluid" + Red Riding Hood while listening to these lovely resources. 

The progress i've made in the past few hours since the lovely miss pamagotchi posted the vocal accompaniment for the track. I still have a lot of fastidious work to do on the stereo image, so the vocals fit into the track properly. Also, the overall dynamics i must improve on, in order to lose some of the convoluted cacophony that make it hard to listen to. With that said, any input would be greatly appreciated. 

I did this idea back in high-school, but I always wanted to try it again just to do the idea more justice <3

It is finally here. The day I finally threw in the towel and went 'hey it is time to hitRECord!' It took me a little while to learn the ropes and see exactly what I was capable of, but in the end I watched, I learned, I listened, and communicated with all you beautiful people. And here I am. One year older, one year wiser, and ready to see what this new year will bring. Video editing and finally learning photoshop are biggies on my what I want to RECord list, but I still have time and lots of friends on my side. Thank you all again, my life has truly been changed for the better.

yes, that is the don't-pick-me flower, but lucy didn't pick it.  clearly it's magic, as it can smile and unwilt itself, so it temporarily uprooted to come along.  it loves seeing first meetings between soulmates. 

the more i worked on this, the more i wished for more stories with lucy and the girl with the pink umbrella.

i'm working on a tiny film of this, but i'm very new to after effects, so it's taking a little time.  in any case, a reading of the story and some music would be handy if you'd like to contribute something.

I loved the steampunk vibe of Florence and his tiny smile makes him a very ambiguous character. Is he good? Is he bad? One way or the other, I think he has a secret.

A quick idea pieced together on the spur of the moment...

Sel's "Cinnamon" has to be my favourite piece of writing on the website. It works both as a song and as a spoken piece, and I thought it might be interesting to mix it together with The Automator mix..

It's an idea, and I know the mix isn't quiiite right..but maybe someone can build on this?

When I played it to thesherbethead he said it would sound better if Morgan Freeman or Dennis Hopper read it..so if anyone wants to step up to the plate, feel free! This is more to get people thinking about a possible remix option..

I just invested in my first set of dip pens and I thought I'd practice by writing out Metaphorest's wonderful Modest Proposal jelly babies. I tell ya, we have it easy with ball point pens. I was dipping every other word.

I was really interested in playing with shadows, today was my first introduction to Shadow Caste and I haven't nearly read all of the text about everything, but I was thinking about Fauxbeams which are man made shadows and man made shadows are my favorite shadows because they are probably a little dangerous and a little exciting.

And asking, Where would the fauxbeams go to see a good show? The back curtain of a night club maybe? I liked the idea of real people in the front but the fauxbeams went behind the curtain to watch the show.

I call it the club The Fauxmingo Club and I call her Fauxna Jay. Fauxna is a fauxb boss's girlfriend but she's actually a spy working for the FauxBI. She really just wants to be a house wife and bake huge turkeys on thanksgiving for her fauxband and her fauxdren. ok.. hahahahaha sorry.

I also have to admit that I just saw My Week With Marylin, and it made me go rewatch  some like it hot and clips from Let's Make Love which has a lot of her performing. I started thinking about her life and how it progressed so I picked these public domain songs to go with the footage. I recommend My week... That paula strasberg...[the movie portrayed her as] an enabler. I got in a big fight with her about a teacher when I studied there.

On its own its just for my own fun, I figure if anyone wanted to take that night club idea and use this footage, go for it.. or maybe it will get used for some random thing.. a la hitrecord

Haven't recorded anything in like 4 months or so. Thought I'd get back into the swing of things :)

Inspired my Mrs. Tibbs23 remix, just changed the size of the shadow beings, added some drop shadows and lighting effects... 

The Longrays of the ancient past still cast down from worn stones in almost forgotten places and it is in one of these rings of stone that a council of withering & waining shadow preside over all realms of the diffrent shadow lands. (it is not known if other shadows hold council here as well, but some believe that on certain days the light is right for an equal council of all shadow types.)

saw this gorgeous shot by cubsfnsrl and jst thought one of attilees shadows would looks great poking his head rnd the corner of a building!x 

even shadows need a little r&r sometimes... cut them some slack, it's tough work following us around all day! and they were even thoughtful enough to send you this postcard.

Jazminny and I did a trade. One of my hitRECord hemp friendship bracelets for this amazing water color and jell pen painting and This is so beautiful I feel I owe her something more. Jasminny you should expect another little something in the mail in a little while. This might be useful for remixes here, but if you do use it make sure to give her credit :)

One of my favorite things to do when I was in music school was walk through the hallways with all of the training rooms. You would hear the vocalists and instrumentalists warming up or playing whatever song they were studying, and I loved the random mash up of music. So tonight, somewhat inspired by that, I took 9 vocal warm ups and mashed them together to create my own training hall mash up of sorts.
