Metaphorest's Wanderer, with piano by PASIV. Gorgeous lyrics and music. I started this video pretty long time ago.  That's why there's snow. There was snow outside my window :) Only now I've got time to finish it. Everything here is made from hitrecord records, textures, etc. The only thing I couldn't find for this video was a picture of tree,  big enough, for close ups. So I will upload PNG tree I made, if anyone will find it useful for anything else.

New RECords in the Record store.  Anybody come up with a rule-set yet for all these REs and Res?  and RECs?  Four new t-shirts and totes two tote bags.  Also, who wants to make a 30-second vid about the Spring Collection?  MattConley made a funny such "commercial" that we played At The Movies... <3

This is the result of the Texas heat and too much spare time.  The video isn't pro-status...but hopefully it made you laugh. <3

I was thinking that someone could use this graphic in a video to illustrate the collaboration process.  Joe suggested this in his video request. 

Also, I am going to upload a layered PSD file so that hopefully it would be easier for someone to animate.

This version is longer. It's 2:40 minutes, so it's sort of  Director's Cut. Well, it's not quite right for I was not going to make long video at first, because has no idea what could accompany the music at the end, because there are no words, and the Wanderer is already back, and it still should look like animation. Remixing my own record. So here it is.

Metaphorest wrote lyrics and sang - PASIV wrote music - I made animation with the help of hitRecord's huge library of resources - then was made extended version of video - then Joe suggested to add sound elements to correspond with the video - after that Metaphorest and PASIV worked on this Awesome new version of the song Wanderer - then it was send to me and I just added it to the video. Hope I didn't miss anything. Interesting sequence of events :) So, it is the "third edition".

Colouring again...

I made this flash animation using images of Seattle found here for the RE:Cities collaboration.

I taught myself how to do this today (thanks to some jiggery pokery with photoshop, illustrator, and flash) so it's still rough because I'm not very good with making videos yet, but if someone wants to remix this to make it nicer that would be excellent. Especially the music track because it kind of ends on a strange note. And the transitions are a bit weird.

This is my second draft of the brown paper bag, I have just done this in photoshop multiplying and overlaying ROMANTIC DRAWINGS created by the hit record community (Im pretty sure i have credited everyone in the resources but if i missed you let me know) and I added a few of my own in there plus the 'dont tell' line...

I tried to find hearts that had either a innocent appeal or potential to have a scary appeal. I especially love "Hearts in love" by @sweet_honey - so simple its perfect.

To make this as a real life prop i think the collage as a whole would have to be printed on brown paper and made into a brown paper bag, kinda like a yardage print - i have done this before for a short film and is pretty easy (and more importantly fun!) then some of the black lines can be re taced in pen to give it that drawn on feel... at the very least its inspiration for someone who can get their hands on a real paper bag (im in turkey at the moment and paper bags are surprisingly hard to come by!) x

I wanted to have Rimfrost and mirtle over for tea in my garden, but then I realized that they live far away and I don't have a garden because I live in an apartment. I did it anyway ;)

This was just something that hit my brain. I took brujasur's "Caricature" and inserted it into the eyes of the "Cat Face" image, then used the open space at the bottom of the cat to add the inscription. Nothing fancy, just something that came to mind. This originally came as the result of an idea for "Haunted Haikus". Feel free to do a better version or to spin off into something else completely!

I have been writing since I was twelve years old and I am incapable of writing a love story. Believe me, I have tried to write something romantic to be the next Nicholas Sparks but that is not how my brain operates......unfortunately. I am a wonderful person, I just have a dark mind. I watch "Criminal Minds" far too much! But if you're looking for a love story, I am greatly sorry for that is not me.

I also don't know ANYTHING about football. In my eyes all it is is a bunch of guys running around seeing whose gonna break a bone.

But nonetheless, I DO hope you enjoy this piece. I thought Johnny Clyde's "Final New Hevn Score" worked perfectly for this piece. again, I am so sorry I'm incapable of a love story but I hope you enjoy! Tibbs

Hitrecord Halloween Spooky RE Recs….

I love Halloween, so this is probably one of my favorite RE recs of the year, I hope you all enjoy my video, there is a lot of amazing records for Halloween, I wish I could add every single one to my Recommendation album, but I can’t so here you have my favorites…

1. All Hallows Eve by Rimfrost: I love this; it’s really scary and cute at the same time!


2. A HitRECord at Halloween Intro by 12.42: I love all 12.42 videos, and this intro for Halloween show is fantastic, especially I love the shadows at the end!


3. Staring Contest by mostly_harmless: This is fantastic, I love the illusion that mostly_harmless create like if the girl in the portrait is looking at you, spooky!


4. Dark Angel (animation) by Ryan Patrick: I love Ryan animations, and this one is amazing.


5. Dead Girl Animation by Ryan Patrick: This is probably my favorite, I love this little girl with her head in one hand and an ax in the other one, and Ryan animated this really well!


6. Grandfather clock by Via: I used this record before, and I decide to use this again in this video because I think is perfect for a lot of things especially intros.


7. Messin' Around by SamYam: I love, love, love this, It’s one of my favorite shadows videos and is the perfect intro for any video or remix for a HR show!


8. Shadow Caste Gloam Animation by Ryan Patrick: Another fantastic animation made by Ryan, the shadows looks awesome here, I have to learn how to make cool animations like this one!


9. A Gloamy Halloween by chelsea.e: This is really beautiful; I love this remix, so it has to be here! :o)


10. Crocheted Halloween House by Cam 4: I am sure that we all love every crocheted piece that Cam made, and this one is not the exception, this is really beautiful, I want this!!!!


11. Day of the Dead by MelonBerri: This is beautiful, this could be the perfect outfit and make up for a day of the dead celebration, I like everything about this!!!


12. GOAT by flashbax: This is just wonderful, I fall in love with this since the first day I saw it, it’s mysterious and spooky, the perfect combination for Halloween!


13. Haunted Mask (gif) by fractaldust: Another amazing gif, this is one of my favorites!!!!!


14. REmix Theatre (Pilot Episode) by MattConley: I think that Matt have amazing remixes and videos for Halloween, and he provides us of great resources like this one!

17. Morgan & Destiny - Halloweenified! By Reverie: Morgan and Destiny need to have Halloween costumes, and Reverie make it possible, I love this drawing!


18. The legend of the headless little girl by brujasur: This is one of the creepiest and perfect remixes of this year, great job brujasur! By the way, I am glad to see you back at HR.


19. Vintage Halloween by mirtle: mirtle’s art can’t be missed in my weekly recommendations, once again she made something amazing and this time she made this drawing for Halloween!


20. A Nightmare In Rap Minor by MattConley: This is another great video made by Mr. Conley, so of course, it have to be here!


21. The Sorrow Bird (animation) by Marielv: Marielv animations are also fantastic, and this is one of my favorites, I really love this.


22. Haunted Hallway (gif) by fractaldust: Dusty made amazing gifs for Halloween this year, and this one is also fantastic, it’s really scary and mysterious!


23. Xtended B-Movie Halloween Intro by 12.42: Once again 12.42 is in my recommendations with another amazing intro for HR, but this time I used this for the end of my video!

Happy Halloween!  My first Re:REC so bare with me x) and, I'm wearing my iPod dress that I made in 2007.  Here's an overview of my recommendations:

#1:  The legend of the Headless Little Girl by Brujasar (http://hitrecord.org/records/547023) Photo & illustration remixed so seamlessly together. #2:  This Halloween illustrated by Mirtle (http://hitrecord.org/records/548789) About a birdgirl who wants to be a girl for Halloween.  I like the little story and illustration together.  I think it deserves to be in the Tiny book of tiny stories. #3:  From the Fall Formal's Ashes: Recycling our Scripts by Psalmist (http://hitrecord.org/records/536778) We already have a ton of amazing scripts proposed for the Fall Formal.  Why not create something with it?  Actors & actresses should really perform one or two of these scripts because they deserve to be more than black text sitting idle. xP #4: "Love is" written by CpnAwsm I'd like to see someone do a voice recording (doesn't have to be a female .. male/female, whoever's willing to take it on).  Then, I think a piano underscoring would be nice to amplify the emotions.  This could be a great piece for the Re: Love collaboration. #5: Manifesto Stamp (low res) by Tori (http://hitrecord.org/records/547059/forum) How cool is this stamp, seriously? If the Manifesto Collaboration becomes something we can hold with our two hands, I think this manifesto stamp should mark the front of it.

I revised this again with some changes suggested by Albert. He asked me to change the background to hitrecord blue and make the "REC" in red. It really does look better. Sorry it took me so long to get up. I have been out of town. I am now really sick so if you don't see any remixes from me I am curled up in a ball of pain. Albert, I am slowly working on my playlist and will begin taping my voice overs as soon as I don't sound like a dying seal ;)

Okay, I gave it a trie and created a mob with many of your great creations. I could not use all of them and it is just a simple trial with very rough movements.

This is a group of protesters for The Lights Off collab! Inspired in the mob eight persons made by brujasur!

I saw this Collab kind of late. I hope I'm still in time to contribute. This is a first stab at the mob. This video can always be scaled, and layered on itself for more depth. Please let me know of any suggestions to make it better!

Here is the latest "And A New Earth" Reprise. I made a few minor updates from V5. I added Krrr's Mix 5 as well as updated the typography with those with the most recommendations. I also added the original "And A New Earth" to the dream sequence introduction.

Overall, I feel this is a great representation of all our hard work; a great collaboration. Everyone who has helped in some way or another deserves credit.

16. Revenge by Proi: Another great example of simplicity and perfection, great way to turn a text into an illustration, this bad advice collab is the responsible of a lot of fantastic contributions like this one!


17. Worth it by meaganmoore: This is one of the sweetest illustrations I’ve ever seen, this needs some colors or a tiny film animation!!! Love it!
