Here's the black and white pattern-adorned version. I loved the patterns - klevclef's, sfdetroiter's, and steverolston's! Was planning to do a colored version and putting the two side-by-side and then I got lazy. Erk.

I'm pretty well done uploading stuff I made PRE-hitRECord.  Don't know if anyone can do anything with these oldies but they may as well be here.

...here's an orchestral suite of musical themes inspired by several images form the Shadow Caste collaboration. I will reference them and perhaps you can tell which goes with which. This was a lot of fun, to make this... looking forward to dong more. 

....there's one record I can't find, the one about Umbreo. But yeah... that idea inspired the last movement especially.

This is the first time I've used any form of photo editing software, so I tried my best. But this is sorta the idea I had when I made the "what caste" image. :)

I'm not kinda photoshop person (a low tech person , in fact) and I really wanna try this with Acrylic color (which I have just taken class.)

So here is the result :)

rotoscoping! :D first time trying it, biiig project planned for blbest's "Wandering Hands" dialogue tale. this is the start. I really like uploading unfinished animations.

 anyway, I'm probably gonna cut some of the interum frames, both because the result is slower than I want, and also because it takes sooo looooong. although I might have been a bit overexcited about the shading.

in the end, I wanted the "wandering hands" to be this perspective, animated, and the other participant to be live action, with little animated icons of the dialogue bopping around the face. it might work. :D

I'd like it if someone could record that side of the conversation? the way I picture it in my head is just as a conversation over coffee, but it could be anything. <3

Here is a vocal mix I did for the collage song collab.  I gathered some great vocal contributions from the collab that i felt went well with the track and together.  Hope you enjoy it!

This is an idea I'm trying out. I've chosen a few text records that I thought were really great and have provided more specific feedback on what I think is working and what changes I think could possibly help it grow. These are kind of like reRECs because I want to draw people's attention to these records, but they're a little bit more in depth. For example, this record is roughly a minute longer than my reRECs this week; but whereas my reRECs contained 9 records, this contains only 4. So the commentary for each record is significantly longer.

I was inspired to do this because since joining the site I've heard members talk about their desire to hear more constructive feedback on their work. So I started this to see if we could perhaps foster that. I focused on text records because of my experience with text and because it seems that a lot of the people asking for feedback are writers.

It may work, it may not, but you never know until you try!

This is my first version of a poster idea for the Shadows collab, I chose some of my favorite images added to the collab, I'll make a second version with some other fantastic records soon!!

Yes, the woman in the picture is me. Yes, I adorned myself in make up and attired my body to what I thought would make me look beautiful.

But beauty does NOT come on the outside, beauty is something inside the soles of our body. Something that our fingers nor eyes will never get to touch or see.

False beauty should not be shown like what I portray in this picture. Beauty should come from within ourselves, not by what we can buy to make ourselves appear beautiful.

Beautiful, Ha. Such a strong word we all use these days to categorize what false beauty is.

So this my first illustration. A little elementary I know but an ode to my friend Joab, his great text, his new baby Zoe and the shadow beings!

I made the sad emotions come from the gloams stuck on the perfect ceiling in the un-natural iight all day long. While the sweet babe wrecks havoc on the floor (as we know they do) -this is midday in my illusration-and you can see the torture yet fun of the shadow beings during their usual time in Umbra.

I focused on the ceiling b/c I believe Joab's text does the same for me. Anyway hope ya like, if not- I really enjoyed trying my hand at illustrating and I'm putting it in the collabs!

Here's a little animation video I made using TheWinterWild's "Still Water Disaster" for the Unlikely Disasters collaboration. This is my first time animating anything.

I think some nice sound effects of water and ship creakings would add a nice effect. A VO of the original's subtitle would be pretty cool too.

- Switched emails and hung out for a couple nights

- 2 days later she went to her country a and I went to my country (different continents)

The Labores Solis is a total eclipse of the sun. The only time where all shadows on earth become one. What significance this event has I don't know, but would love to hear some ideas!

The scattering look of the shadows was inspired by ThadicalRadical's The Chayeari shadow.

I just removed the extra lines from the original to make it easier to remix it.

Love artanon wolf paper doll so I remix that and added a companion little red riding hood character. Done this originally as vector graphic so I can create various poses and expression later.

STEMS can be found in the results :)

I've been wanting to cover a song for The Morning Hollows' HitRECord Covers Collab forever since I mostly record song covers on my tumblr and that's what got me into recording music in the first place. I never could decide on a song to cover, but I finally listened to tonguecutsparrow's song yesterday and decided to try it. Since his song is already awesome, I just did this one quickly and had some fun with a few garageband effects, so don't take it too seriously :)

Anne gave me a challenge yesterday, she told me that I have to make a new City Autopsy of my city: Managua, Nicaragua, but this time I added in the picture some elements that I found in the streets and also around my house and in my backyard (yeah, where the ghost live haha), so I am making a small explanation of the things that you can see in my picture (I added some things that I love and that I have in my room too):

1. A piece of the local newspaper.

2. Some leaves of the tree that is in front of my house.

3. A mango: a fruit that is very common in my country, I have a Mango tree in my backyard!

4. A note that always remind me that I LOVE HITRECORD!

5. A Happy Birthday note that somebody gave me in my last birthday!

6. One of my cats, this one is made of wood, and is one of my favorites of my collection of cats. I think that I bought this one in Chile.

7. A small purple flower from another tree in my backyard.

8. Some kind of red seed or acorn that I found in the street outside my house.

9. A picture of me and my mom when I was a little baby.

10. My favorite lipgloss (strawberry flavor) :)

11. Some Nicaraguan coins, by the way, I found the gold one outside my house! :)

12. My Hitrecord notepad party, that GRL sent me in January!

13. My watch, This is the last gift that my grandma gave to me before she died.

So GabyVaughan challenged me to make a drawing for her dialogue What do you want sir? I have to admit it's very primitive and I didn't use the best of software, and may have been better off scanning my original drawing. But here it is.

I haven't had much time to work on this so there hasn't been many changes. Nothing more than eq tweaking. I got rid of the glitch effect on the drums towards the end that pamagotchi rightly disapproved of. I would like to request of pamagotchi perhaps to rerecord the vocals. Maybe two new versions. Not necesarly completely different versions. I would just like to hear the different inflections that are inherent when working on something and then returning to it later on. If you could do one one day and another someother day. I will upload an instrumental track as well.

megancarnes challenged me to make a record without the piano, so here it is! i'm also hoping to record something in the future using music i find on the site, but that requires lots of searching and i'm kiiiiinda lazy.
