You don't go looking for perspective. It finds you. 

So funny story... I go to this abandoned place in Rome the other day, famed to have been either an asylum or an orphanage back in the 1700's. I sneak in, even though I see parked cars in front. I go around snapping everything in sight, until I hear some pretty loud voices. Instead of running the other way, I go toward them, ending up in a room with a dozen men with guns. I'm still not very creeped out, I ask in English if they're shooting a movie. Instead they're shooting paper targets. They're obviously Italian, probably military. They tell me not to be afraid and to go up the stairs, watch out for ghosts, one said. Sure, I think, I'm going upstairs where I definitely can't escape. Why not, right? So I go up, taking more and more creepy photos of writings on the walls, graffitti, and seriously disturbed art. When I'm done, I sneak back down, stepping into what looks like one of those places you're not supposed to go, a.k.a. creepy basement. I find a beautiful chest that either looks like a magician's or a slightly small space for cut up heads. Filled with hope, I open it; it's not locked. Sadly, no ghosts hid inside. No heads. Absolutely nothing except for a bunch of leaves. I sneak back out, disappointed. But it's still a funny story, no?
