Basically all of my non-writing work
My first go at a short for hitrecord. Something of a (super depressing) music video for Sarah and Megan's cover of Wirrow's Atom Song...hopefully I didn't butcher it...
(Sorry the text is fuzzy. It's a little easier to see fullscreen, and much clearer if you download it)
Felt compelled to make some shoegazing musc :D
I released the first instrumental version a little too soon, and it's kinda rough. This version has a lot more kinks ironed out.
This version is more like the original; I left a lot of space for other people to put in their own vocals, especially in the beginning.
My musical take on Andrewhip's amazing poem of the same name.
Instrumental from my original Bunker tune, made a little more hip hop-ish.
Version 2. I thought the original was too busy, so I've cut a lot and added a little. I might release the beat from the original as a hip-hop sample later on...
I may re-record some stuff...anyways, I tend to hate my own lyrics, so these lyrics are 2 of Metaphorest's tiny stories!
In our nuclear bunker, we felt safer than ever
And the very next day, the world washed away
(wash away, wash away, wash away, wash away)
(Thanks HitREC for being so on top of my mistakes, fixed my stupid REC repeats in less than 24 hours! Awesome!)
Super super gloomy song, very minimalistic...a little bit of a downer :)
Some days, I just want to blow away
Some days, I just want to blow away like a leaf in a gust
But a flying leaf's a dying leaf and I don't want to turn to dust
Fun little anti-puritanical song. I actually make a fair amount of music, I just don't like most of it. I thought this came out pretty decent though. Credit to my buddy Dana for the string-ish sound, which is an electric guitar being played with a violin bow.
(I might try mixing this again; it sounds fine through my headphones but not so much through my speakers...we'll see)
Lyrics:
Seraphim, cinnamon
Try not a single sin
Cover your eyes and your ears
Touch not the spices
Of everyday vices
No, leave them as formless fears
Shed your morality
Take our mentality
And smile, smile, smile
We’ll be your groomers
Adjust all your humors
Why don’t you just stay a while?
I love Cravencanary's "tiny story art- I loved you by heart before sight". Unfortunately I am a poor animator and lack both the software and skill to animate her artwork, as much as I'd like to. While the story is different (and my drawing ability poor), I'd like to credit Cravencanary's wonderful work as the genesis of this animation!
