i haven't done re-recs in a while, so i thought a good way to get back into it would be by going through the re-recs i have done since i joined hitRECord, and re-re-REC some.  hopefully this brings up some great pieces for further REmixing :)

i know there is a lot here. and while i agree that re-REC videos should be kept to 10 RECords max - i feel an album can include more as those looking through it can look through as little or as much as they choose.

i selected these RECords for the following reasons, and i hope you find use for them or they inspire you in some way:

albums: i selected these albums first because i am a big fan of albums. they are a great way to organize RECords, and make for good sources of concentrated material all in one spot, and these all have some very useful content! (as for the merchandise re-re-RECs...i hope the RECord store pays heed! i would love to own some of these items! :D)

footage: these are all great sources of clips which could be REmixed into almost anything. i feel they are very useful, and beautifully shot/put together.

collabs: there are so many great collabs here. i am re-re-RECing these as i think any of the "personal" collabs bring us closer as a community. and the waiting collab is such a genius way to make creative use of time we spend every day otherwise doing nothing. for anyone who ever waits anywhere - i RECommend looking around you for the art in it! :)

"future me (by logan)" - by sabine - i think this could be a great idea for a collab. drawings, graphic images or texts as to where we see ourselves in the future.

"for my secret valentine, jestaying" - by beauty of the lake - this was a poem written from an alternate viewpoint of another poem. this also could make for a great collab of text RECords re-written from another viewpoint of the same story. endless REmix possibilities there.

"lonely under here without you" - missamerica - this has already been REmixed several times - it is a great image for tiny stories, image REmixes. i think it could also be animated well.

"muralist" - artanon - this also has endless REmix possibilities. already been done several times. graphic artists take note!

"we are the city" - mcveighp / "1.1 dans un bois solitare" - haus of glitch - both these are fantastic songs and could be sampled, REmixed, used for short film scores, music videos, etc.

“don’t be scared (tiny song)” – mtbrd / “skip and the turtle” – madisenmusic / “catching snowflakes” – lilatook - these would all make for great tiny films!

“storm soliloquies (tiny story)” – by thedustdancestoo / “barefootcrazy” – by inkedcanvas / “barefoot crazy” – by cachet / “tiny story: get your hopes up” – by elleraiseshell / “the broken heart shoppe” – by saintmaker / “cosmic significance…” – by fractaldust / “stress tiny story” – by narwagner / “tears of wonder” – by runni259 / “the little boy” – by thehighseasecho / “wings (tiny story)” – by cinematic.audiophile / "little monster (tiny story) – by sinnamin - these would all make for great voiceovers, tiny songs and then tiny animated films. re: barefoot crazy - both these are amongst my all-time favorite RECords on hitRECord. the drawing by cachet is the style i would see the tiny story being animated.

“in july? (a tiny film): v2” – by mattconley - this is a fantastic example of a tiny story being made into a tiny film

"an elevated love story" - by meelie - i really like this script. it could either be picked up and produced into a short film, or animated into one, or further scripted.

"please don't even think about kissing this cook" - by jestferlaffs - just such a great image - could write tons of stories from it!

“eleven eleven: rebellion” – by kavonne / “occupy (REmix)” – by fractaldust / “west gate fountain” – by kmumford / “today,” – by awristocraft / “a new earth…” by toryelena - these are just really awesome, really powerful images (imo). while they stand alone as 'finished' works of art, i wanted to pass them forward for what inspiration they might be.

“life through a lens (composite)” – by emma conner - while this fits in the above group of pieces i would consider finished works of art in themselves, i wanted to make special mention of it.  the phrase 'again, by heart' was defined by joe in his "who are you?" RECord.  in it he describes 'RECord' as being broken down into two words which mean 'again' ("RE") and 'heart' ("cord").  in that sense, we are all RECording, all the time, so long as our hearts have been beating.  i love that concept and for me, emma's REmix of these images, especially making the iris of this eye red like a RECord button, really captures that.

“tiny stories – i’ve never walked…” – by neithan / “like everyone else (v2)” – by sabine - both of these are just beautiful RECords that i think everyone should see.  plus, who knows what they can inspire?

“finale and goodnight…” – by dr. gory / “oversight” – by videotroph / “works in progress (blackbook)” – by fractaldust / “good / great” – by randomprocessvol2.0 / “ready, willing and able…” – by ara / “response to ara” by lizziemackie - now, there are some RECords on hitRECord that in my time here so far, i feel really capture the essence of what it means to be a hitRECorder.  these are some of the highlights of those, imho.

alright, i know this is a long list of re-RECs, but i hope you find at least one piece included here inspirational in some way or another!
