I love sinnamin's paper cuts. <3

I picked up most of the contributed cutouts to add to this wallpaper. While this one has a vintage feel I have the layered file and can create  variations of the background color and pattern to match the feel of the finished book. Also the images can be manipulated as far as opacity and such.

The original file is about 3"x3" at 300dpi and the cutouts can be revised to add or delete any characters.

I think my favorite creative cutouts are the RECord clothes. Especially the cassette tape dress, the umbrella and galoshes. So thoughtfully done and adoooorable! ;D

Ohhh yeah! I've uploadedvariations of this design but this image is the only one that will tile correctly.

This is the first time I've ever made a pattern and let me tell you it's a bitch to make. Anyways, I wasn't sure what to do with the background so I left it transparent.

This is my challenge from sinnamin! I recorded three different versions of her lovely poem Gloameo. The first is just my voice, the second a little more demonic, the third higher pitched and seems the most suited to some kind of animation should anyone be up to the challenge! See how this challenge game works? Yay! Enjoy!

I've been obsessed with Gloameo since I read sinnamin's poem.  This is just a rough sketch to get the balcony scene out of my head.

I'm open to suggestions for these two.  Let me know what you think.

megan_carnes challenged me to make a Jelly Babies "video storyboard" like I did for a new hevn about a year ago. I happily accepted:)

A few pieces don't exactly fit with the plot (i.e. the character sketches of the conquerors are put in with the text about conquering, I wasn't sure where to put the protesting RECords so they're at the end, etc.) but I think I got most of it. I really tried to use most of the REsources in the collab, but I know I missed some, especially the character designs and jellyland designs since I wasn't sure exactly where to fit them all in. 

I think the best things to take out of this is where we have "gaps" so people can contribute more REsources for those and also where we have lots of great images already so people can start animating.

Also, please let me know if I accidently missed REsourcing your RECord in here.

Playing with voice over. Fun Story sinnamin!

This didn't really work out how I wanted it to, but I thought I'd post it anyways, in case it inspires somebody :)

I used sinnamin's awesome jelly babies hitrecord logo :)

I had this idea that can se used as a poster or for the postcard collab, I chose my favorite records of the Jelly babies collab (I made one for the shadows collab too) and I put them all in the same picture, I hope it can be used for something! :)

so i put together some stuff from here and there and came up with this. After this, the idea is to fade from black to begin the story "twas four...."

i didnt incorporate the hitRECord logo in the intro, maybe it would be in an animated form before the intro...

I couldn't resist ;)

The Regularity is here! And I wanna give a huge bravo and congratulations to all of us for a successful Sundance 2012! We did it and they loved it. But most importantly, I am very proud of all the records that we made, they are all wonderful they make a great evening of short movies. 

Now, as we always do, let's start remixing all the live records from the show! And let's keep the ball rolling on our RE: INDEPENDENCE collab.  Use the discussions from the show and combine it with other work in the collab and let's keep making art regarding independence. 

I also want to spotlight a couple new Collaborations.  

JELLY BABIES is a great fucking idea guys! Composers, hop on board and write some music to Day Glo's incredible VO of Metaphorest's text.  Illustrators, keep up the good work so animators can come along and start making a short film with your characters.  And Screenwriters, let's begin adapting Metaphorest's text into a screenplay. 

CITY AUTOPSY - check wirrow's new collab! Walk around your city and find treasure, as he says, it's open to interpretation! 

And finally, it's a new year and I feel that this is the first time in a while where we have the breathing room to focus on improving our company.  We have grown, in fact, we have out grown what we use to be and I am making plan for HITRECORD to accommodate that growth. 

If 2011 was as killer as it was, just imagine what 2012 has in store for us.

In response to Marke's request, here is a pattern that could possibly be used on the back of the paper doll cutouts. I set it up so that it could be made seamless without too much difficulty (by someone a little better at photoshop than me!) I messed with editing it a little bit, but than it started looking kind of hokey, so I thought I would just post the original instead.

Ok, one of my new year's resolutions was to learn how to make animations, my brother Rob, is really good with animations and he is teaching me, so here you have my first attempt of making any kind of animation, I made this one with my brother's help, I was thinking about Little Red, some blood and the wolf, and this is the result! LOL!I hope you like it guys, remember, it's my first time doing it, so be kind! :)

I'm not much of an animator but I gave it a shot... not sure if it's the best line of the story for it either, but the timing of it matched the length of the animation too perfectly. :P

so-AnneMarije CHALLENGED me to illustrate Nancy's (sinnamin) tiny story The Little Zombie.

I did a simple blackline drawing, so that if anyone wants to add color, backgrounds, remix, shat upon, whatever-feel free.

I did do a very stylized character drawing-the child zombie and tiny story just felt that way for me. So this is my representation of her text-on to the next challenge!

I PROMISE it is NOTHING the same! Matthew (jestferlaffs)has me illustrating his lovely, ummmm, ahem Christmas shopping love story-read it! ;)

I decided that I would use Sunday as my release from stress and taking a break from looking for work to visit HR. I will try to heart as much as I can and upload anything I have been working on. Just having a little fun with this one. I will be on and off today heating and uploading between running around and doing chores. I miss you guys.
