I am making this album not only for the Monster City Collab, but also for Chloe's Characters Collab. It will take me a little while to add resources, so if you did a character and don't see it here, please be patient :)
I was so excited when the monster collab came up! one of the drawing phases that i want through when i was younger was ALL about monsters and creepy rag-dolls (too meany tim berton movies i guess) anyway i looked back into some of my old drawing books and i found this treasure :) I think I was 9 when i drew this.
Enjoy!

Here's another response to Rabid Schnauzer's challenge for a Monster City beauty salon!
Just a simple step-by-step on how to give a monster a mani/pedi.
(Okay, so I've never really gone to a beauty salon/had a mani/pedi before, so this very... general :P)
So, Rabid Schnauzer challenged me to do something for a beauty salon for the Monster City collab, & here's the first of my responses!
I imagined the Stylist (Stylist Monster?) as a mixture of all styles, with her left arm being her beauty equipment & her right arm being her more heavy duty one; after all, "no monster mani/pedi can be done without the right tools -- bolt cutters, rasps, blow torches"! (Thanks, Rabid Schnauzer!)
The Team are basically little round monsters that hop onto adjustable platforms & fix mechanical arms onto themselves to do their work.
I made this from a photograph I took of the walnut dresser my dad made for me when I was a kid. It is a photo of the woodgrain on the side of the dresser, that just happened to be the side that faced my bed at night. I put something like 500 glow in the dark stars on my wall before the dresser was ever there, but when i got it the stars lit up the room at night and that combined with my imagination gave me trouble falling asleep for many nights. I obviously added effects to this as well as smoke, fire, eyeballs, and a mouth, but it really looks like this!
Sylvie in a headpiece I made for a children's production of Where the Wild Things Are many many moons ago. Shame she's holding that silly blue cup or else I would think she could be cut out and placed somewhere more magical. Who knows, though - might be useful. Maybe I'll try to get another of her...
I've been meaning to do a tiny story for quite a while, but just got around to it. This is also for part of a collab that I'm hoping to start really soon! I'm working on adding some watercolor, but I figured I would upload the outline because people have done a really good job at adding color to my doodles in the past. : )
Yesterday, I got a nice welcome from adhgraphicdesign , and I was so happy that I wanted to repay her somehow, so I was looking around her profile and I saw her son Oliver's drawings, one that caught my eye was the T-Wrecks (an Oliver original) and I was like "this seems simple enough to REmake this before I start on my tests!" so I made this, not exactly like it's counterpart, but I added my own style to it, I hope Oliver likes it, and I hope he continues doing more artwork!
I drew this on a skectch pad, then I used Photoshop and a photo filter website. :D
Oh yeah, I might not do much for awhile due to finals coming up
I wish someone would make Smeeg come to life in a video, or a REmixed drawing, or a poem, I wanna see him in just anything really, I'm really proud of this drawing because I drew it so well, and in the middle of class too (I have the actual template I used for this edited version) and It's on of the few things that I actually Originally made, with my own 2 hands
when I started reading the main plot and saw
"3 - the kid tells parents but isn't believed" I wondered if it was because they can't see them or because the monster are hiding.
well it's explained after that they can't see them, still I had the idea of big monster trying to move in city without being seen, this one isn't very inconspicious :/

Solshagal (soul-shuh-gal) - This malevolent creature may seem like a harmless little fellow that exists within the world of imagination and fantasy. But nay, you are gravely mistaken. While not many had seen them, the Solshagal has been lurking by the side of humanity since the dawn of creation. They feed off human's creative cells and one is suspected to have been plagued by this malevolent creature when they begin to experience Creative Slump. If left untreated, the victim will eventually suffer far worse psychological disorders that mainly leads to suicide.
If one suspects that one have encountered a Solshagal, best method of treatment is to keep browsing for resources that could spark one's creative outlet and keep oneself surrounded by creative peers at all times. The Solshagal will eventually leave you alone and find its next victim.
(Ok, the name sounds lame. Been on a Creative Slump lately...don't mind this delusional stuff)
Myshtigal (mish-ti-gal) - While seemingly clumsy by appearance, these creatures are masters of delusions. Unlike the Solshagal where they feed off only on creative cells, the Myshtigals consume the sanity of their victims by trapping them within their own delusion. The latter is considered to be a slightly more dangerous creature as their victims do not develop any noticeable symptoms until it is too late.
However, if one is fortunate enough to notice a possible encounter, proper medical treatment would be the only way to rid the highly dangerous Myshtigal.
(Another one of those creative slump ideas. Artwork inspired by Ghost in the Machine by JacksonBlack)
Razmaghul (Raz-ma-gool) - It has been increasingly disturbing to know that while this place is innocent and fun, there's something malevolent lurking by its far reaches condemning the human mind. Alas, with thorough research conducted, it appears that the Razmaghul could be one of the culprits.
Apparently, this creature that bore similar form to a cat plagues the human mind with an unknown force that causes a form of addiction and deprives them of their sleep. The Razmaghul is sometimes referred to as the Nightmare or the Sleep Eater where they feed off human's attention preventing them from entering the world of dreams.
It seems that there have been reports that some HitRECorders might have potentially been haunted by the Razmaghul. If one suspects of such encounter, it's time one pulls the plug and go to bed...

Happy Holidays christopher.harn! I was your Secret Santa, so this Motion Monster is for you. Hope you have a fabulous Holiday Season!
P.S. Someone needs to turn christopher.harn's "Carnival Tequila" (852556) track into a Holiday Song. Not necessarily Christmas, I was thinking a tune moreso about the drinking and celebrating type; a general seasons greetings and/or a New Years tune. DO IT!

This lonely illustration seeks a story. Or some remixing. Or both.
Inspired by Monster in My Heart by haley.aronow ("In my heart, there's a monster./ In that monster, there's a heart."). Unfortunately, my attempts to add text or a second heart were unsatisfactory. I leave this for remixing.
A possible tiny story -
I felt the rage boil hot in me,
A monster in my heart.
After an attempt at hiding under a child's bed and failing, the monster found they'd accidentally discovered a fantastic new fashion statement.
Random idea I had a while ago. A monster too big to get under a child's bed wears it like a hat. Probably needs a snappier tiny story to go with it but anyway, I give you a pretty chuffed monster showing off their new hat.
