This is from a series I did based on women eating various objects to make them feel various stages of love. This one reflects Lust, as she eats butterflies she feels flutters in her stomach for someone. 

Materials: Stone life casts, lace, paint, butterflies, wood panel with lace.

My son handed this to me when I picked him up for school today. It made me laugh out loud. He is 11, well almost 12. He said it's his first tiny story, and he wanted me to add it to the Monster City Collaboration :)

It's not very often that I drop one project midway to work on another, but as soon as I heard/read wirrow's 'Give me all the flickering lights' and then heard RoboJ's version with the synth score, I just knew I had to work on it.

Another "off the path" kind of reMIX and an ode to René Magritte's "This is not a pipe," but in Little Red Riding Hood style.

kittypimms "the knife as a metaphor" text record brought this to my mind.

Second installment of the Grandpa stories. Grandpa:  

God damn. There was a path, alright.. wide enough for the van. The four-wheel drivers had a hard time getting up there, but I made it, some way. We got way the hell, halfway up that mountain, and pulled off into this area. He said, “over here.” He used to ride his motorcycle up there, you know. He said there’s a beautiful cliff overhang up there where we can camp out. It’ll be real nice. Real thick woods, up there. We kind of wiggled through there, finally parked the damn thing—got out all our camping gear and everything, and sure enough, there was a beautiful, there was a ledge, almost flat, just about like this, that kinda hung over the side of the mountain, and you could see for… for a hundred miles. Just beautiful scenes, out there.

Oh, about ten thirty heard this thundering off in the distance.

Over there lightning doesn’t strike from up there down to the ground. Lightning strikes, for some crazy reason, it jumps from the ground up, 
and a lot of times it’s horizontal and goes like that.

It kept moving towards us, moving towards us
And Randy said, “Oh, relax, uncle. It’ll be fine, it’s not going here.” Then we heard this noise in the bushes back of us—this is all true—kind of a growling sound, you know. Heavy breathing, stuff like that, in the bushes. It was so thick you couldn’t see through ‘em, you know.
There was something there. Some animal. ‘Could have been a bear, ‘could ‘ave been a big bear, up there, ‘could have been a mountain lion, ‘could have been a moose, ‘could have been anything. And uh, i said, “Randy you sure you wan.. uhh… maybe we oughta get out of here. We got enough trouble with that dang system coming towards us, and we.. uhh.. got all that noise right there in the back of us, in the shrubs. You know?” 
And he says, “Don’t worry Uncle Vic. I’ve got my knife.” He pulled out a little old damn knife, a blade like this, wouldn’t cut hot butter, you know. I said, “Fuck this!”

We saw all kinds of shit!
One night, it was about midnight, and we we loved it.  ’Cause the sky there is so clear, and the stars, it’s like you can just reach up there and pick ‘em like berries off of a tree.
And one night we were laying in the backyard, you know, in our—we just threw something out there—in our sleeping bags and we’d just watch the night sky.
No street lights or anything to, you know, just throw everything off. Man, they were, those comets or meteors came streaking across the sky like that from west to east! Little bit north-east, north east. I mean there was just, must have been hundreds of them! Big balls of fire! Red! Just up there, just kind of shootin’ across! I’ve never seen anything like it in all my life.
There was other things that happened, we saw, that would amaze you, i wish you could have seen.
….
It was great.
I’m going back to Brigham City, one day, just to visit. See if some of my friends are still there.

I really love joe's Nothing Big (who doesn't) so I wanted to make a (silly) cover of it... the lyrics are amazing!

at first I wasn't gonna upload this here, but looks like I did anyway... well, I had fun recording this version anyway! :D I like to make covers that are very different from the original! :P

I love wirrow's "give me all the flickering lights" poem, and I've been wanting to record some music to it since I first heard it. I had this idea of making music without "real" instruments, but with objects that were not made for playing purposes. Earlier today I thought of glasses, and this is what I came up with. I will upload the audio version later, I just wanted to show you that all the sounds are really coming from glasses ;D maybe this can also be useful as a raw footage?

Ladies and gentlemen, please feel free to fill in colors, to change the phrases in the picture, because as English isn`t my native language and I`m not good at writing I guess there can be another sentences which would better  describe the ideas of making the choice and feminism.

I want to shoot whatever it is that you need shot :) hey guys so if you need some stock footage shot for a record you are working on let me know.. i really want to start filming a lot more so i am taking requests :)

also please let me know of any tiny or short stories you think would make good short films.. id like to do more of those as well

To accompany my instrumental tribute to the art of sm

Here's a short video that I've been working on - inspired by Metaphorest's Ravens record. This was my first attempt at rotoscoping. I had to remake marcellepallais' hair, I hope I did her justice. I've been playing around a lot with the coloring, and I think I'll increase the contrast and bring out the blues a bit more.

I built and animated the the wings and birds from dgroeneman's "feather drawing" and sojushots' "winter tui". I've uploaded some pre-keyed high-res image sequences of the flying birds, and flapping wings as resources for remixability.

Ideally when I'm done, I'd like the video to span the entire song. I welcome feedback on where to go from here.

So this is probably the oldest writing piece I still own-I hadn't really scanned it proper before because I never really liked the final edit. I had written either 2 pages back and front or four pages back and front and I remember my teacher told me it was too long so she edited it. Tomorrow its 17 years since the passing of Selena and I am so grateful to her legacy and what she represented (and still represents) to us little Tex-Mex loving girls. Though she didn't live long she did show us that dreams do come true although her final dream to complete an album of entirely English songs was left incomplete. Still her story although tragic is an inspirational one and I for one know that I will never forget her.

Creating cool characters is a great way to start developing stories that can evolve into short films, comic strips, or even songs. 

ILLUSTRATORS: Make new characters, or remix characters that already exist on the site. Contribute these to chloe04's "Character Collab" so we can remix them even further.

WRITERS: Find characters in the "Character Collab" and write stories about them. You can put them together with other characters or find collaborations that you can integrate them into.

I really love "why so shy little knit boy?" by sojushots and "Cactus and Balloon" by LydiaSaskia. These are awesome examples of characters that have been contributed to chloe04's collaboration. Now we can begin remixing them into their own stories.

Can't wait to see more characters from all of you guys!
