Every minute 2396 imaginary friends are conceived. That's 70 times over the birth rate of the entire planet.
You are one of those 2396 if's. Once you are born, you are immediately sent to The I.F. Academy, where you have to undertake a 24-hour training on how to be the best imaginary friend you can be.
This... is the Academy.
The first lesson you will learn here is that your looks are key to being the best imaginary friend you can be. Whether you look funny or scary or strange, you have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the child who conceived you.
You will use your strengths to help them deal with their problems.
While you are at the Academy, you are not allowed to drop lessons or leave your designated rooms. You can only talk when you are spoken to, and everyone who misbehaves will be taken to the Regulators.
Once you complete your training, you will be equipped to go back to your child. And when you complete the friendship cycle, your mission to be the best imaginary friend you can be... terminates. We will welcome you back after that.

P.S. Meet Hokupoku, the leader of the naughty if's. (Themetafictionist's suggestion to use him somehow inspired me. Also, so many of the characters - listed below - looked like imaginary friends that I had to create the League.)

A slightly less dark remix of the Man in the Herringbone Hat..think Mack the Knife..grim story, funky tunes.
I wanted to make myself a fairy :) At least that is how I'd look as a fairy if I could lose the 40 ponds I have gained :(

Another finished piece done strictly with Muro, to test the app out a few years ago. Couldn't tell you how long it took, apparently I didn't take note at the time. Oops. :)

When I was a little girl, my first present was a red balloon. She came to life for me, as real as any doll.

With the Holiday and all, there will be a delay on this "Motion Monster"'s animation. But thought I would post him in the meantime. I will upload a zip Photoshop in layers shortly, for those that may want to take a stab at animating him too - Go for it!

inbetween animating I've been playing about in Photoshop. Some of them are original works, but not particularly relevant to anything happening, but I wanted to share one here. :D

GabyVaughan did such an excellent job remixing my Spirit Tree with pencil-in-hand's perfect little "cherubims." They fit perfectly together. And I loved the playfulness of where she put the little guys in the scene, just awesome.
I wanted to see what her awesome layout would look like if the Spirit Tree was kept as-is and the cherubims were more subtly added in. So, a remix of a remix. How Meta - ha!
So i liked the idea of a kid becoming friends with a monster.
This was the developed work for my 3D character "Fairy" displayd in one of my videos.
