This is a painting I did with “The Scream” by Edvard Munch in mind.

My idea behind my painting is based around my experiences in the last year of my GCSE Art project where I felt under pressure to achieve a top grade. I lost sleep, weight (I’m sure of it) and the will to live : D Sadly, not much has changed there but I guess it’s something anyone can relate to, which is why I like “The Scream” in the first place.

I put an Oreo in my mouth to stretch it out to give my own interpretation of consumption (consumption of TB – versus – consumption of comfort food)

I did this with acrylic on cardboard.

This is the fourth drawing in the set I have created.

This one is based on Ms Sarah Daly aka Metaphorest! (I'm not sure if this looks like her though : S )

I gave her the character, Queen of Hearts, because I subscribe to Metaphorest, and one of the first things I noticed was that my activity feed - of all the people I subscribe to - was filled with recommends (aka Hearts  : D) from Metaphorest.

I think I remember that one of my early hearts since joining the site was from Metaphorest, on a RECord I personally wasn't too confident about. I want this drawing to be a thank you to every single recommend I have received from EVERY member of the community, and a "personification" of the clever feature that is the Heart System on HitRECord.

I think it's undenyable that Ms Daly is one of the nicest people you can ever come across on the internet, very supportive towards new artists... and full of heart  : )
