now that i am back, keeping track of my hearts for organization (props to jesterlady ;)) and for smoother re-recing :D
So I've been incredibly unproductive in hR recently since my new job has me traveling almost constantly. This is a pic from my 5th hotel room in 4 weeks. I still owe DianeFT my Challenge Collab and feel horrible that I haven't been able to finish it yet. All my graphic tools are at home :( So for now, I will just be putting up some text records and trying to support the community. Cheers ♥
hello denizens of hitrecord
my name is edward shallow
this is a videotape
a vhs tape, to be exact
this project is called 'receive record send'
one user receives this videotape, records a piece to tape (no longer than 6 minutes) and sends it to the next user on the list. at the end of it, i will be screening the results to an audience here in scotland. scotland's first hitrecord show, if all things go well. all other participants are free to do the same.
i'm trying to keep it as analog as possible, but in the nature of hitrecord, i will digitise the finished video for others to view. but i would encourage you to organise a night in your town - let's make this global!
therein lies the rub.
this is a pal vhs tape and, thusly, will only work with pal videorecorders. so, for outside of the uk, we're really looking for someone who is able to covert this tape to their country's dominant format, before it can carry on through the list.
so, here is the videotape. i've got my 6 minute piece on here. let me see some names and i can start organising this.
looking for your username and the country (and state/area) you reside in.
p.s. - this may be obvious, but only get involved if you've a way of recording to tape. otherwise…you couldn't record…
aye. so, receive, record, send!

The Clock People are a strange bunch, indeed |
|
|
"Tick tock goes the clock..."
I was watching Doctor Who and suddenly got this idea of a humanoid thing made of clock parts. So even though I'm not much of a drawer/painter, I had to get this down on paper. It's hard to tell in the picture, but aside from his face obviously being a clock face and his "tie" being a pendulum, his fingers are minute and hour hands and his belt buckle and the buttons on his jacket and vest are clock gears.
I'd love to see better artists put up their own interpretations of clock people!
I traslated the word "Hitrecord" to the Sign Language. I did this because I was reading some article about hearing-impaired people that can do music. Beethoven is perhaps the best example that we have. Since this is a site made by artists, I thought it would be nice if we could learn more about sign language and make art of it.
