VIDEO EDITORS- You guys are rocking the Fall Formal footage! Really great turnaround of some quality edits are already popping up all over the site. Each cut is a great foundation for creating various short films. Super exciting!
I just wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the work coming out of RegularJOE's request regarding Fall Formal Live Edits.
Simple points to remember moving forward as these edits grow:
This is the Record Store Commercial that we played at "Hit RECord on Halloween" at Le Possin Rouge in NYC, October 31st, 2011
Here's a post RECollection Record Store Commercial. I remembering editing it literally up to an hour before curtain at the Fall Formal. RegularJOE apporved it! And then it was cut at the last minute because the show was running too long.. That's how it goes sometimes.... Make sure to check out ozie's cameo!
Here is the edit that played at Sundance 2012 without the Typography. Please remix the cut, add your own typography, do what you will to it!

Here is a visual foundation sketch for us to lay the typography over for 'and a new earth REPRISE'. It's really important to note that the typography is what is going to be featured in this piece. Meaning that the first or second time a viewer will watch the final version, they won't really be paying attention to these visuals. With that said, I have tried damn hard to use visuals that not only support the typography but also make sense in case anyone ever does pay attention to what's behind.
It needs a lot more work and I am not totally convinced that the video clips here are close to final, it probably will change with what works best for the type.
But I am very curious to get feedback from y'all. So, what do you think?
oh - I ran some tests to make sure that the typography still pops in all the madness, and with a little tweaking, it does :)
This is the version that was screened at Sundance 2012!
