Let’s bring matters to light
on what happened that night
and spill the whole bloody affair
a twisted story
which ended quit gory
of when Gretchen married a rodent
and Laurel married a hare
Sisters Gretchen and Laurel
were raised without morals
they wanted money to set them for life,
They married these guys
with dollar signs in their eyes
in their pockets were razor sharp knives
On the honeymoon night
the moon was so bright
their husbands leaned in for a kiss,
thinking next they’d get laid
but it wasn’t the case
their throats were sliced open with blades
and the girls set off to live in comfort and bliss
What the girls didn’t know
was quite a hard blow
their stepsisters lying in waiting
to take their revenge
for steeling their men
shot Gretchen and Laurel
and sent them to Hades

---------------------------------------
this took nearly a full year after the original bass line & 'Ravens' RECords were released for me to 'crack' the idea for an arrangement that worked.
back in April 2011, i downloaded the audio stems that Albert, Sarah, and Matt uploaded to the site, and after trying some ideas that ended up not going aywhere, decided to put this REmix on hold until I could think of something suitable. Sometimes the best ideas come much later. Sometimes, it's better to put your impulses aside and allow time to pass...
in January 2012, I came up with the idea of looping Matt & Sarah's ending vocal lines which created the proper foundation, along with Albert's bass, for the song to move in a cohesive, structured direction. Everything else, the drums, guitar solo, format, followed suit.
And there you have it.
many thanks to Albert, Matt & Sarah <3

This completes jestferlaffs and Mrs.Tibbs23 challenges together. I highly doubt this is the picture book she was asking for but I don't usually stay inside the lines. :)
A little gift for Matthew's sweet wife! I did some random illustrating types here but ti's all in fun-for all my dear friends at hitRECord-hope you get a good chuckle!
ALWAYS
Anne challenged me to use her writing as lyrics and Mrs. Tibbs challenged me to use her tune (Ocean's Calling). I combined both into one song. There is an orchestral intro followed by a nice groove that starts at 46 seconds.
Rochelle's challenge: Click on the random RECord button. Find three text RECord and five image RECords. It must be the first 3 texts and first five images you see. Now remix all the images together. Then create a statement using pieces of the three text records that work with the remix.
I kinda cheated though on the text records...cause seriously no text records would come up and I clicked on the random button forever! That's why I made up my own text: sew sew sew a boat...haha...
Hope you like it Rochelle!

Doesn't have to be limited to LRRH. Feel free to use any of these if you like them for any project or use this record for inspiration for your own props to add to your LRRH illustrations.
I think it would be cool if it could find a fit into the LRRH book to include a sticker page with various props to stick into the book or on the paper dolls. It is the only way I can think of to have these small props used. =D
Props:
Bloody Axe, Bomb, Dynamite, Small Bottle of Poison, Pill Bottle, Pills, Gun, Bullets, Pink Bow, Blue/Yellow Polka Dot Bow, Apple, Can of Beer, Pack of Cigs, 3 cigarettes (one lit), Granny Cane w/ Knife attachment - haha =P, Box of Wolf Snax (to lure the Big Bad Wolf) reads: "Make 'em Howl Everytime...Wooo", 3 Wolf Snax Cookies, Bottle of Wine, 2 Bloody Daggers, & a Pool of Blood.
**looking at how it appears after upload I should probably clean up the beer can a little. if anyone wants to use these lemme know and i will tidy it up.
STEMS can be found in the results :)
I loved thedustdancestoo's poem "to: a broken-hearted butterfly" that he wrote on tumblr and pretty much begged him to upload it to hitrecord so I could use it to write a song. Half a year later... I finally got around to recording it. (sorry...)
i'd love to have this remixed, maybe add some strings? i'd also love to see this used in a video or animation.
I traslated the word "Hitrecord" to the Sign Language. I did this because I was reading some article about hearing-impaired people that can do music. Beethoven is perhaps the best example that we have. Since this is a site made by artists, I thought it would be nice if we could learn more about sign language and make art of it.
