Like said Littlepleasure with her amazing photo: stars are everywhere... I find plenty of them on hitrecord! :)
So here, the stars are: NoahRichardson, Wirrow, Eaneikciv, ChaneleyWelly, Dwayne Wegley, Metaphorest, PASIV, Joab Nevo, Robo_J, Monkeychow, and JordanL (his friends!) ^^
Thank you for sharing ♥ you're awesooooome :)
Here is lyrictician's challenge to me to remix his remix of For You. I really liked the vocals he recorded and felt like they could do with sitting front and center! I hope it doesn't seem lazy, but I really didn't do much here. I think it just needed to be mixed, I really liked it.
G, A, F# .. my favourite 3 chords
i would really love if people would chant along.. i want the voices to build with the song
STEMS can be found in the results :)
I loved thedustdancestoo's poem "to: a broken-hearted butterfly" that he wrote on tumblr and pretty much begged him to upload it to hitrecord so I could use it to write a song. Half a year later... I finally got around to recording it. (sorry...)
i'd love to have this remixed, maybe add some strings? i'd also love to see this used in a video or animation.
A song about dreaming and driving.
They seem way too far all these dreams in my car
i pick em up put em down drive em around but so far
there just dreams in my car
we go through town on an aimless round
i stop a lot speed em up slow down so watch out
we go through town
is it enough just to dream about you
is it enough just to wish i had to you
i close my eyes but when i almost grasp you
i realize the road has turned to gravel
my world has turned to gravel
things aren't as they seem when you make believe
and all the time that i spend in a dream i scream
this is make believe
sometimes i wake up to this real life stuff
and i don't know what i want anymore it's so tough
all this real life stuff
is it enough just to dream about you
is it enough just to wish i had to you
i close my eyes but when i almost grasp you
i realize the road has turned to gravel
my world has turned to gravel
They seem way too far all these dreams in my car
i pick em up put em down drive em around but so far
there just dreams in my car
there just dreams in my car
there just dreams in my car
Wirrow's foxy illustration reminded me of a song I wrote so I thought I'd share. xx
Little foxes lead the way
Trust their instincts
They know the way the land lays
Little insects, underfoot, are maimed
That’s the law of all things
Things change
There’s a code that we don’t know at play
In the spaces between things and in things
In every night every day
Do you feel it, hear it ring?
Little foxes know everything
Do you believe it? Breathe it in
Little foxes know everything
Do you believe it
Even in your skin
You’re a part of it all
A part of it all
Yeah, so. Still no time to work on new songs. So once again, digging up some stuff from the vaults.
This is the oldest one that I've posted to date. Wrote it when I was 16, recorded it among the first batch of demos when I bought my 4-track tape a year later. I have many issues with this one (and have actually always considered it one of the lesser recordings among my dozens of demos), but it's one of my wife's favorites. And she insists that it deserves to be heard, despite its flaws. I'm still not so sure. But I'll run with it.
i used to fly with peter pan in videoland and i saw people coming out from underground. gather up you silent searchers and lets go loudly into quiet churches lets surround the walls of guarded buildings and make our sound. lets invade palaces, they are always around when we sing out their anthems but not when we drown in video lala
this REmix uses the vocal and drums from Metaphorest's original RECord.
experimented with different variations before settling on this one.
REmix production, arrangement, Synthesizer, 808 programming, Guitar: meeeeeeeeeeee
Hope you enjoy, and happy REmixing
<3
RJ
and many thanks to Sarah for making such a wonderful and REmixable song (and the stems too!) <3
I found an old beat by BenWiley4000 and sang over it. I'd love if someone/several folk took this very bare track and made it fuller/cooler/everything-er!
My weapon is hidden on me
My bullets will pierce your blackened words
You’ll be sorry you spoke, sir
Revenge is not what I’m after
I want to illuminate is all
I am happy to let you fall
Don’t mistake me
For another fool
You can’t make me
Believe you
My melodies sing your sorrows
Just wait till tomorrow finds you limp
Oh your chances are slim, slim
And on your death bed, will you wonder?
Which of your offences stings the most
Are you scared of your own ghost?
Don’t mistake me
For another fool
You can’t make me
Believe you
As requested, here's the audio of my video of the same title, featuring Matt on banjo and Alex on guitar, playing an awesome jam, now known as "Calenda", on Lake Wallenpauck during an epic June sunset.
An old track, from my unreleased EP. (Recorded in the late 90's).
Wait for a while maybe think it over
that's just not a choice my friend, won't really know till we're older
hello little one you seem to know what's going on
i remember you're age we had nothing really on our shoulder
what ages faces?
times like these that go
oh, these times' that go like this
