CALLING ALL DANCERS & CHOREOGRAPHERS!
We want to incorporate live action dancing into the Music Video we're making for "Electric Loss!"
==
You can contribute your records here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1032217
==
Here's how YOU can contribute to this collaboration:
* DANCERS: Dance along to this version of the song "Electric Loss": http://www.hitrecord.org/records/908339 You can dance to a section of the song - or the whole thing.
NOTE: Ideally, Dancers should RECord themselves on a green screen - or a neutral background - so the footage can be remixed into the final video easier.
* CHOREOGRAPHERS: Choreograph some dance moves to the song so that Dancers can perform in unison. If you could demonstrate each move step-by-step, that would be very helpful.

Thanks!

This is the "Electric Loss" Master.
We need a RADIO EDIT of this version between 2:30 - 3:00 in length.
The "Electric Loss" Music Video will then be edited to the Radio Edit Remix.

a love story...
Another acted out Dialogue Tale. Keeping with the same character(s) talking (to himself?) in the mirror. This time I used Metaphorest's "The Love Letter."
CALLING ALL ARTISTS: Let's begin making art together around the theme of THE ROAD! This is a classic theme that could mean a lot of different things to different people. What does it mean to you?
You could be on the road home or getting the hell out of Dodge... or maybe the road isn't a physical path; maybe it's something metaphysical or spiritual. And what happens along the journey or when we get to the end of the road? Is there an end?
These are all things to consider as we take this theme of The Road & create art together on hitRECord!
==
You can contribute your RE: THE ROAD records to the collaboration here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/933821
==
Here's how you can contribute to this collaboration:
EVERYONE: Get out your cameras and go film some great footage out on the road, or RECord yourself talking about your thoughts or stories regarding the road.
VIDEO EDITORS: Find contributions from the hitRECord community and begin putting them together into Short Films.
WRITERS: Write a story or an essay.
ANIMATORS: Put a series of images into motion.
ILLUSTRATORS: Draw a picture.
MUSICIANS: Make a song.
CURATORS: Compile an Album of the contributions you think are worth checking out.

Our mini tour of Live Shows is coming up this autumn so everything we're working on here at hitRECord has the potential to screen at one of our shows, or be included in one of our works of publishing, on a DVD, or maybe on a vinyl record we all make together.
All profits get split with the contributing artists 50/50 on hitRECord.
And, as you may or may not know, we recently announced that we formed a really special partnership with Levi's®. They are going to support our upcoming tour, distribute some of our videos across the Internet, and they're going to help us pay our contributing artists way more than we've ever been able to before!

Thanks Again!

with the new VO
This is an edit of wirrow's Give Me All The Flickering Lights. I originally thought the whole video should be one large flickering light but quickly learned that this poem is about a lot more. Or maybe it isn't...?
wirrow - I sincerely appreciate these words. thank you for sharing them.
So here's the final version of Iterations. I hope you like it.
Again Thank you Mirtle and Sophierumi for all their wonderful artwork and characters.
Thank you Metaphorest for your beautiful song, and thanks Mr. J, or Mr. ROBO...or ROBO_J whatever he prefers for the final final mix.
If I miss any resources let me know.
If you want to watch it in HD then download it.

I like deconstructing songs on here and making something COMPLETELY different from what they were. So this is my attempt at doing that to a video. There are some sound effects missing from this because I only have so many royalty free sfx on my computer and didn't have some of the stuff I needed so maybe someone could go in and fill in the blanks if you have more sound effects or can hunt them down on here.
Hopefully you all got a laugh out of this. I mean I love the original Strawberry Bootlaces but it's always fun to remix and parody stuff.
:)
CALLING ALL ARTISTS: Let's make art together regarding the theme of LOOPS!
This theme of Loops could be interpreted in so many different ways.
It could center around the loops we find ourselves in within our daily lives; perhaps situations we continuously get ourselves in, but cannot break. It could also pertain to cycles or patterns, either in your own life, within your family, in nature, or in history.
These are all things to consider as we take this theme of Loops & create art together here on hitRECord!
==
You can contribute your RE: LOOPS records to the collaboration here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/969123
==
Here's how you can contribute to this collaboration:
EVERYONE: RECord yourself talking about your thoughts or ideas regarding loops.
VIDEO EDITORS: Take audio/visual contributions from the hitRECord community and begin putting them together into Short Films.
WRITERS: Write a story or an essay.
ANIMATORS: Put some images into motion.
ILLUSTRATORS & DESIGNERS: Draw a picture or remix images from hitRECord into graphic representations of loops.
MUSICIANS: Make a song or create an audio loop.
CURATORS: Compile an Album of the contributions you think are worth checking out.

We just announced our Mini-Tour of Live Shows over at www.hitRECord.org/tour so everything we're working on here at hitRECord has the potential to screen at one of our shows, or be included in one of our works of publishing, on a DVD, or maybe on a vinyl record we all make together.
As always, all of the profits of our money-making productions get split with the contributing artists 50/50 on hitRECord.
And, as you may or may not know, we recently announced that Sony has formed a very special partnership with hitRECord and is supporting our community for the rest of the year. They are going to help us get equipment for our upcoming tour, distribute some of our videos far and wide over the Internet, and they'll be helping us pay our contributing artists far more than we've ever been able to before!

CALLING ALL INSTRUMENTALISTS & VOCALISTS!
Let's add more Instruments, Sounds, and Voices to ppeppina's song "RE: loops (we can go back)!"
==
You can contribute your Audio Records to the collaboration here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1024862
==
Here's how YOU can contribute to this collaboration:
INSTRUMENTALISTS: Let's add a lot more Instruments to play along with ppeppina's piano! You can play to the piano's rhythm, or add your own chords if you'd like - anything goes! ***Chords & additional details are listed below***
If you don't play an Instrument, you can add sounds like clapping or use samples from hitRECord and loop them.
VOCALISTS: We want to hear a ton of voices singing the lyrics! If you sing the loop you need to pay extra attention to the timing and it should be 8 measures long. Another way to contribute is to sing vocal harmonies however you'd like.
Here are the lyrics:
We can go back again
To where we began
And then when we reach the end
We can still pretend that...
==
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR MUSICIANS:
FCP by Dr. Gory
I guess we all sometimes wish we could loop some parts of our lives and never let them end. But if you stay in a loop for too long, things start to slowly loose their edges, until everything is a big blurr and you're not sure anymore if you're at the beginning or the end, and before you know it, you're lost in the loop...
However, the not-so-deep musical part of my brains loves loops! :) and everything you hear on this track can be looped! you can find thse stems in the results, so if you feel like remixing, you can make your own loop remix of this song. And as always, it would be awesome to hear other people sining or playing along!
Enjoy <3
we can go back again
to where we began
and then when we reach the end
we can still pretend that
we can go back again...
