I believe I have everyone included, if not please tell me- I want to include everybody.
oh, and funny story!
just as I was about to post this, a pop up came up and I accidentally closed out of my window, so I had to re-add all of the resources again. eek~!
there may be an easier way to do this, however- but I am a noob, so I'm unaware of all the helpful little tricks. c;
hope you enjoy. <3

Created in Photoshop CS4, this illustration is part of a notecard series I drew in 2009. The series focused on heterosexual, homosexual, polyamorous, interracial, and cross-generational relationships. This image is on HitRECord because it didn't actually make it into the final notecard set. The others showed casual and sexual interactions that may or may not imply committed relationships. "You&Me Could Make Blasians" is just a bit too saccharine with the flowers & lack of embrace. I'd like to see someone else find a good use for this image because I adore it and had fun creating it.
If you're like me, you run into people all the time who are awesome and creative. I end up telling them about this site. But, it's usually when we're out and about or at a house party, so they might forget. I thought it would be cool to have a business card to print out and carry around with you for just such an occasion!
Most copy shops will do out a sheet or two of these for a few bucks (though you might have to chop 'em on a paper cutter yourself.) If there's interest, I'll put up a print-ready file!
NOTE: Since it is a business card, I can't exactly explain what the site is all about. This card assumes you've already given them a lowdown in person and just want to give them something to remind them of your conversation.

here's how and why i fell in love with the most beautiful thing in the universe: mathematics. (mortifyingly enough, i get very emotional when i talk about it and almost started crying at the end... aaawkward... i also forgot to cover some other important points, namely how i joined hitRECord so i could spread my love for math in a fun, interesting way... perhaps i'll save that for my next video :D)
video is not available at the moment (it is probably hiding in SHAME!) so please download for now, or let me know when you can finally view it on here :) it's a bit long though, perhaps i'll try cutting it down later...

I added this to the Amoeba poster collaboration because initially it had a good response.
It seems to capture the essence of looking forward to looking back at our past accomplishments.
I tried to add the information Joe wanted but I am not saavy enough this morning. Perhaps someone might work from this original record and create the knock out poster Joe is hoping for????
Thanks!!
I fell in love with the empty glasses shot by tudo47 and I had a concept but my photoshop skills were lacking!! Sooooo.... my husband hardwired helped me out!
I think it turned out pretty cool. Yay for husbands!!!

Man invented the guitar while watching for the fish.
~~
Last Saturday I was walking through the music instruments store and looking at guitars. And then I got a strange thought: the guitar looks like a fish (either a jelly-fish, or a nautilus...) While sitting in a cafe shortly after, I took an album and made a fast sketch of my idea.
We all know how things were created and who invented them. But what if we can imagine an alternative way of creating the world? Maybe people invented thing, while being inspired by something.

That is my line up above but feel free to add your own or help me make this picture better! I drew this with colored pencils and I had no idea what I was doing because I usually paint, actually. I am forced to abandon painting for the time being. Eventually, I will do some paintings when I can and post those too. But I think it turned out ok ...
Story behind the picture I drew: Yesterday, someone told me to not "get my hopes up". I am sick of hearing this from people. My Doctor told me the same thing just last week. Just not in those exact words ... Well, I am not faulting him because he was telling the truth. But someone told me not to get my hopes up on my dreams. And that is just a no no ... This is my response to all those nay sayers out there.
Yet another illustration for this fantastic tiny story! I was rereading this tiny story the other night while listening to the soundtrack of the Japanese anime "The Garden of Sinners (part 1)" and that's when the idea for this piece came to me (those who have seen the film would probably understand the reason behind this). Oh and I FAIL at perspectives, which I blame entirely on my lack of practice in observational drawings.

I just came across this picture I took of some winding stairs at the Urasoe Art Museum on Okinawa, Japan back in January 2007. It reminds me of all the RECords here having to do with spirals and repetition and Phi. It's also an interesting illusion since you can't tell at first if what you're looking at is the ceiling or the floor.
I thought it might make a good REsource for someone.

Here's a pattern background dedicated to tiny stories book. I tried to include illustrations from the tiny stories as much as possible. Also, note that this pattern is perfectly seamless and can be tile-able over and over again to form even larger infinite pattern in photoshop. In fact, I have vectorized all the illustrations so we can even make blow it into a enormous art canvas in the future if we need to.
After spending hours on this. I might just have tiny stories nightmare when I sleep tonight. :)
Well, I don't know what to do at this point so I imagine that this is the text that is going to be in the book, right? Well, I just want to be with this story until the end because i love it! Also I want to thanks everybody who recommended this tiny Illustration! THANK YOU, it means a lot for me so, Thanks again! :)

My hands xrayed with the assistance of my co-worker, Dr. Amanda Sayers. I have been wanting to take this xray for some time. Next week our office is becoming high tech with a new digital xray so I thought I would use one of the last 8x10 films and radiate myself for art. I talked some at work about HitRecord and my boss basically told me to go ahead but don't let OSHA find out.

I wonder if all the missing puzzle pieces in the world wind up in the same place.
This is a tiny story idea that I had more of an image in mind for but couldn't put the story into the right words. This came about because walking down the street recently I saw a single puzzle piece on the floor and it got me thinking about doing puzzles as a kid and there was always pieces missing. I just figure they migrate somewhere to hang out.
Help would be appreciated putting this vague random thought/story idea into words.

A second cut of RegularJOE's live performance of "Patterns & Prayers" from the "Hit RECord on Halloween" show in New York City. This is the Low-Res version (at about 45% max quality.) Also, I have a slew of bullet point notes to accompany the new version (see below.)
EDITING NOTES:
* The walk to the podium introduction was changed quite a bit:
- Incorporated a snippet of the organ from the original video to blend into the ambient soundtrack
- Removed the rhythmic score elements of "Dreams of Another" and left the more moodier portions and blended them with the similar tones of "Circles of Latitude."
- Re-cut some of the entry shots and did away with the "cut the music" moments altogether.
* The crowd audio was remixed quite a bit to reduce conversations during the podium intro.
* Corrected the grayscale on several shots throughout the performance segment. There's still one rogue shot that will probably need to be replaced, for it seems to stand out in graininess and brightness a bit.
* There is no longer any music during the monologue. Music returns during the bow at the end and rolls into the brief shot of the spotlight and the empty stage, and the credits.
* Added the paper rip sample from the end of the original video as the logo quickly fades at the end.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
* I liked RegularJOE's suggestion of adding the organ sample from the original version. While I did use it for a few seconds, the original audio includes background noise (footsteps, paper crinkling, etc.) so perhaps a composer could duplicate the organ note and upload it?
* The walk to the podium seems a bit hit-and-miss. In the first version I liked the rhythmic pieces of "Dreams of Another," for they were moody and dark, and I think they ccompanied the physicality of the walk. In this version there is primarily just ambience.
* Matbe we could get some composers to create some kind of brief score to coincide with the opening section leading up to the podium? Joe suggested this earlier, that any kind of music should probably be written specifically for the live performance.
* Regarding music in general, I personaly feel there needs to be some kind of bookended theme. Starting off dark and gloomy while ending with the piano notes (and a sense of optimism) are what I personally associate with the piece musically. It goes from dark to light, just as the text reminds us that what we send out from our hearts creates the world around us (that's how I interpret it at least.)
and finally...
* What do you guys think of v2? I'd love to hear what everyone's thoughts are on this and how we can make it better. :)

Hyuck, hyuck, hyuck.
This was a pun/tiny story I'd doodled out an illustration for about five or six years ago, which I found while thumbing through old sketchbooks. I re-did the drawings to look nicer, laid it out, and voila! I would say this is the worst pun I've ever made, but it's not even the worst pun I've made in the last 24 hours.
Also, I know, I know, the Tiny Book of Tiny Stories is in black and white, but I really wanted this one to have color. If this actually gets selected, I'll go back and re-work it.

a sort of stream of consciousness-y thing ive been writing lately. i saw this timelapse vid today by bluebudgie and was really inspired to experiment with it. i understand how this might be seen as political or preachy or offensive.. but i honestly dont mean to be any of those things. it is directed at me more than anyone else. there's a lot of literary reference nod's in the text.
sub-point: the track is an instrumental version of everything is on fire
I wanted more visual repetition, but I didn't want to be too choppy...suggestions?
