Challenge MET! This RECord is in response to AnneMarije's challenge of contributing to wirrow's City Autopsy collab. The only thing not San Francisco-related is the LA 1984 Olympics pin, but the owner of all the things in this autopsy attended the Olympics and I thought it was soooo fucking cool that I HAD to include it. Anyways, this is a city autopsy of San Francisco circa 1985!

some things people have given me over the years: notes, tickets, a diploma. 

My dad saved some of the letters I wrote to Santa and I thought they'd be a great addition to the RE: Childhood collab. 

You might notice a gap between the word "its" and "enough" on the third note. I didn't know how to use the word "enough" at that age so I wrote "I hope its not enough" then erased it when Dad corrected me. 

Also I think it's really smart to start out a letter to Santa with the sentence "I was good." Just in case, he was doubting where my standing was.

As Gaby said in her video, I am part of the "Inception" hitRECord group. 

I joined the site after watching Joe's interview with Jimmy Fallon in August 2010. The way he talked about it made me want to see what this passion project was. I soon discovered that it's more than just a project. It's a community. 

A lot can happen in two years. When I first joined, I was entering my senior year of high school. Going on hitRECord kept me sane from studying for the SATs and writing up college applications. Then my first year of college came. This site was a familiar place compared to the foreign environment I found myself in. Now, I'm enjoying my last few weeks of summer before entering my second year. 

My whole family has a creative outlet. My dad has photography. My mom has voiceover work. My brother has design. I have hitRECord.

Thank you for an unforgettable past two years. You encouraged me to jump over the moon and beyond. For that, I am grateful. 

Let's do it all again, by heart.

A photo project I did for my school's literary magazine in 2009. 

As I peered through heaven's door, I wondered whom they were waiting for. 

Just a costume option for an ordinary Noonday. 

So one of my best friends just joined a band called All Hands Raised. He told me the band name today and I immediately was inspired to draw something related to the name. So this is what I came up with. Kinda looks like an album cover. Btw, my scanner is still broken so I shall be posting this up with a photo from web cam. *sigh* 

Pretty much the same sketch as the first version except with a few alterations. I used pen on this one and I must say that it looks better...I have yet to fix my scanner. I should probably get on that soon. Again, inspired by Wise Blood and the theme of blindness and religion. 

Sketched it up just a few minutes ago. Slightly inspired by Flannery O'Connor's novel Wise Blood (aka the latest book we're reading in engilsh class).

My scanner broke and the only way i could release this RECord was if I took a photo of it using my photo booth camera on my laptop. *sigh* Anyways this is a comic strip/storyboard style of the tiny story "Steve and the Dinosaur." I was going to animate it, but couldn't find the time so instead of drew up this rough sketch of how the animation would/could go. I should be doing college apps, but found drawing this much more entertaining! I tried to resource the bumper at the end, but somehow couldn't find it so...yeah. Sorry. Okay. Back to apps!
