this took nearly a full year after the original bass line & 'Ravens' RECords were released for me to 'crack' the idea for an arrangement that worked.
back in April 2011, i downloaded the audio stems that Albert, Sarah, and Matt uploaded to the site, and after trying some ideas that ended up not going aywhere, decided to put this REmix on hold until I could think of something suitable. Sometimes the best ideas come much later. Sometimes, it's better to put your impulses aside and allow time to pass...
in January 2012, I came up with the idea of looping Matt & Sarah's ending vocal lines which created the proper foundation, along with Albert's bass, for the song to move in a cohesive, structured direction. Everything else, the drums, guitar solo, format, followed suit.
And there you have it.

This song i LOVE. It's off of my album, "Better Late Than Never". It's essentially an open letter to that beautiful girl...that girl you like...that girl that invariably causes you to fumble over your words.

It's a song for that beautiful girl whose with that asshole...and she's too stuck in that relationship to see she's worth more. It features an R&B singer, T.Ru.

I was overdue for a remix and since I've been loving everything ppeppina has been doing, it felt like the right thing to jump back in the action with. I was going to use the instumental track to make something completely new, but I already really liked what was recorded with the track, so I just played around for a bit. It probably gets a little cluttered in the middle, oh well. Yay! :)

so here's the extended version of the REmix i made of Marke's blues riff.

i RE-RECorded the parts, added some bbbbass and added a middle part, based on Marke and Babbish's suggestion.

The format here is the main part 4 times through, then the middle part - lather, rinse, and repeat

The middle part's chords are C and G round a couple times.

I created this out of a bunch of different loops - it's actually the background track to a song I wrote called "Secrets", but I thought it made kind of a cool moody, atmospheric instrumental when I took out the vocals. Feel free to grab it to use for whatever!
