A MUST LISTEN for ones that might not have been heard yet goes out to....
Young at heart REmix by L.T. Daley , my sun (remix)BY tonguecutsparrow also by tonguecutsparrow Nothing in my head (which screams summer theme relaxation and such shit like that we'd enjoy for the season.) and Spices and Stuff by Christopher Harn.
All sounds I enjoy probably way more out there but no time!
A Work In Progress
I love MadisenMusic's tiny song from KarlaMarie's tiny story, but I thought I'd take a stab at singing a litlle different melody a cappella. I also added a few raindrop-sounding snaps to it for fun, but I kinda suck at snapping my fingers so the stems can be found in the results if someone wants to do something with this without them.
...just realized i added a "can" to the lyrics, whoops!
A random little rap I made to mtbrd's incredible beat.
Lyrics:
I used to hustle baby’s for their Milk money,
Now I’m on the Go like a Road Runner,
Running from the Gunner of an Old Hunter,
Silly Wabbit gotta Bad Habit,
and Anger Management is keeping me in line,
So I aint Mad at it,
I got a hurtin’ in this Circus that I work in,
Baby would it hurt to throw a perk in?
This aint no pay roll, I’m living in a waste hole,
I’m bout 3 seconds from a date with my pistol,
Cut the Gristle, I’m sick of all this chewing when I whistle,
I think I need an early Dismissal,
My mind was gone when I Conned all my enemies,
Skull and Cross Bones on the Death letters sent to me,
What’s a friend to me? Someone who’s offended me,
Still hasn’t forgiven me, horrifically they get to be,
In my family of misfortune, unproportionate contortionist,
Clown’s throwing Bowling Pins at Corporatist,
This is where I belong, life of circus worker,
A local flirtin lerker eatin on his Turkey Burger,
and I aint down with a murder of a life deserver,
And I deserve it so I think I’ll live a little further,
looped the first two bits around. sounds like something could fit there.
added some ssssssssssssssssssssynth.
see where it goes from here.
I may re-record some stuff...anyways, I tend to hate my own lyrics, so these lyrics are 2 of Metaphorest's tiny stories!
In our nuclear bunker, we felt safer than ever
And the very next day, the world washed away
(wash away, wash away, wash away, wash away)
Fun little anti-puritanical song. I actually make a fair amount of music, I just don't like most of it. I thought this came out pretty decent though. Credit to my buddy Dana for the string-ish sound, which is an electric guitar being played with a violin bow.
(I might try mixing this again; it sounds fine through my headphones but not so much through my speakers...we'll see)
Lyrics:
Seraphim, cinnamon
Try not a single sin
Cover your eyes and your ears
Touch not the spices
Of everyday vices
No, leave them as formless fears
Shed your morality
Take our mentality
And smile, smile, smile
We’ll be your groomers
Adjust all your humors
Why don’t you just stay a while?
I didn't know Niko very well, but I wanted to do this for him.
I purposely left it bare. Everyone should sing and play along! I figured after the verses maybe people could sing "honeyboy" or read something over the uke but whatever works! Also, the uke is a bit off at parts, but I can redo it if needed!
RIP, love.
take these holes inside our hearts
and fill them up with honey tonight
yeah, whoa
and even though your time here's through
i know that you'll stick to us like glue
yeah, whoa
