All hearts for this week. Anything you want me to see or respond to, tell me here.

there are moments in time where my heart drops and bangs, like a drum, against my stomach, awakening the butte... |

I have two states of being: with you, and without you. |

I love the songs I cannot sing. |

From tori's "your calming presence" - I like this line a lot. This didn't turn out exactly how I planned/expected, and really ended up being a lot more playing on the sewing machine than anything else. THEN my scanner was broken, so I went around looking for creative ways to photograph it instead. I'll upload the scan later, maybe.
Utilizes same drums I made for Night Owl Rap.

"I've been working out
and its sooooo radical babe
I know this might not be where
you're fit to stay"
This is that poem "Daddy's Boy" I released as a song. Edited the shittier parts I hope.

I wanted to play around with the shapes and patterns I could make with kaleidoscopes and the hitrecord logo.

you know i never used to drink
but these days it's my only link
to understanding what it is
to cope with loss to feel regret and
my how time has really flown
just yesterday i had someone
these days i have the extra space
in my bed there's a guitar case
that's sleeping where you used to be
oh you know i never used to drink this way
did i just hear a noise at my door?
i go to check but nobody's there
today i found a photograph
of me when i was ten and laughing
oh it's funny how a life can change
from wondering why the sky is grey
into abandoning precaution giving
time away like something
you can get for free
like happiness has just one key
but things aren't always what they seem
cause every failure's once a dream
and mine it still has never changed
i wish to write a song that never fades
did i just hear a noise at my door?
i go to check but nobody's there
i just realized it's new year's eve well
that's my way of keeping track of time
cause fate has never failed it
seems i always spend this night alone and
wonder where you are and who you plan
on kissing when this year expires leaving in it's wake a trail of memories you can't escape the past i hear, it's just a burden that we'll have to bear
hold a second
someone's at my door
i open up the locks and twist
the doorknob
all to find the girl
whom i am writing this song for
my mouth opens to speak
with tears upon my cheeks, my body says
''hello emma, i'm happy to see you again.''
MadisenMusic's "Weep for the King" has been going around and around in spirals in my head since I heard it a few days ago. So catchy & so unnerving all rolled into one. I love it. I wanted to make a suitable creepy video to accompany it... Something that matched the song's rhythms and touched on the themes. So I had a bit of fun experimenting. (i.e. This video doesn't take itself too seriously.)
There's so much great footage of children on hitRECord - I love all the old 8mm films that are on the site, so I wanted to utilise as much as I could. I think there's only one small snippet of public domain footage - the rest is from hitRECorders. We're building up such a fantastic archive of material on this site!

just an idea i was inspired to play with. i might still work on it a bit, we'll see....
i am what i look like to you
but i don't know what you see through
you are what you look like to me
but i'm not sure through what i see
going by the show of shows
my eyes do not seem to be those
to trust to be whose just and knows
how anybody's story goes
so it seems its up to me
to decide through what i see
as it seems it's up to you
to decide what you see through
so if you like i will agree
to be the he through whom you see
as long as i can count on you
to be the who that i see through
you are what i love to see
and i look pretty good to you
and everything looks good to me
when we are what i'm seeing through

I really loved pprescott's tiny story and was inspired by the tiny films both she and azarkowski put together. I sort of combined them here/added a few more things, did some editing, etc. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Wrote this classical themed piece with the idea that it could make for a visually
stunning arrangement. Looking for animators, photographers, videographers or
landscape artist to find it a home.

Illustration for the Tiny Story:
"This has all happened before, again."
I think it is a really interesting tiny story, that has this sort of chameleon-esque quality to it. It really can take any shape or form, in terms of what it is about and what the feeling of it is. At the same time is constrained by 'This' happening again so it makes this constant sort of loopy state.
I think waves both on the level af interpretation posibilities and in their organic, repetitive form can embody the spirit of this story.
I'm not at all sure about placement of the text.. I think that could do with some remixing :)
Nowherevillians Arise, voxless. Sing it, remix it, cut it, splice it, love it, lick it, Jedi-knight it, use it as the background to something, or do absolutely nothing with it! Whatever it is that'd be flippin' yer pancakes! x
i absolutely adore May's song and i always imagine a tiny retro club with a small stage and a girl singing this song. so i made a tiny animation based on this idea and amazing drawings by jenyffer.maria.
UPD thanks for the cool advice, Matt! i realy want to develop this into something beautiful cause the song is so inspiring and the charactes are drawn so well. in my view, the first issue is the story, i mean, the mood and the atmosphere are great but we need to decide what we can show with their help. i'm not good at writing screenplace, so if anyone has any idea that may help i'll be extremely grateful =)
"As the starfish tickle our toes, our love grows and gives way to the sea" - Tiny Story by bellaarts, illustration by mirtle
this is more of an idea than a finished product, i really wanted to see how this would sound played on a guitar for a more beachy sound, but i'm no guitarist. also, please forgive my terrible pitchy whistling skills and replace it with something better. i'd also love to see how this might sound with a guy singing along to go better with mirtle's adorable illustration. i also would love to see mirtle's illustration animated with their heads bobbing along and whistling to this little tiny tune, maybe with some dancing starfish or something, ha.
Stems for remixing can be found in the results!

Shot a time lapse of the sunset and mirrored it. Thought it looked neat, esp. with the plane looking like a shooting star. Have a gander, REmix it, or whatever you please. Enjoy :)
**thanks to my other half for helping me **
he's actually not on the site, I'll just get up and go tell him....
Thought this could be quite remixable. 66 BPM.
My sceptre is a sharpened tongue
My battle plan is 'play dumb'
My allegiance is to the god of one
No nation claims me
no flag or gun
In the trenches defenseless you’re grasping at mud
Shake it off
Take it off
Clawing down castles of sand, you’re no good
Shake it off
Take it off
My human kindness is a serpent’s kiss
My lesson is this
No man is a monster, no man a god
Smile and nod
Smile and nod
