just getting a little thing put together to use when I finally get around to doing some rerecs. I was inspired by, well, the resources.

first complete pass at a bumper idea I had this afternoon and threw together in aftereffects. V1 is video only, though I have some Ideas for audio, and I'm not quite 100% happy with the animation on the orb yet (I think I want it to have more bounce when it hits the final position. but for just about 2 hours of work, I'm pretty happy with it.

a collection of the original Adobe Illustrator CS 5.1 hitRECord vector files I've created so far, aswell as one remixed from mandakhoo's "Close to Perfection?" and a fully vectorized version of belcath1981's "Hitrecord camcorder..." Remix at will.

well, here's a dress Idea using those logo ideas I was working on. It's, well, Black red and white and such, you know?

expandized and vectorized. w/ color. just the expanded graphic, and a black and white version of this, and shirt placement all coming soon!

as per matt's request. because of the way the text was incorporated into the image, I made two slightly altered textless versions which extend or combine other graphic elements from the B design to re-balance the image.

came out of some other work and ideas I was doing (experimenting with smartphone case design, will post soon). original vectors eventually.

variant on previous attempt. solves the slightly awkward feeling I was having about putting a big red target with the word HIT in the middle of it on the chest of a piece of clothing for women. It felt slightly... off.

as mentioned, on an iPhone/generic smartphone case.

handdrawn vector paint/ink textures, originally created for "In Regard to Atoms: A Tiny Reply". I've been doing all this stuff in bed today, getting over a cold. vectors eventually. please do remix this.

just another idea, you know. stuff. 

this one's a bit more like the typical branding, with the record dot/proton serving as the "O" in hitrecord. You'll notice that in the original the dot is not actually serving as a letter. I'm not sure which actually works better, as the original was more balanced, but I think this version is less confusing. Also, the electron is at the top of the orbit, like it was in the original hydrogen letterhead I created for the my tiny story "In Regard to Atoms".

this one just hit me like a bolt from the blue, so I had to do it. 3 other color tweaks coming up too.

These two new solid blue background versions (as well as three white BG images I'll upload as a single image) aim to play a little bit closer to the official logo, and play up contrasts in the red white and blue color scheme.

did this today, ink on cel, alcohol, time warping, color pushing, after effects comping. will raw assets and remix later, and designed to be remixable, planning on updating this and energy orb soon, but lost time I need to be spending on other things, so really need to push this on the back burner for a while. still, here you go, guys, have at.

this is a still, icon, and card concept for my latest remix of the inkflow bumper I made yesterday. more info on assets and videos and all that when I most the actual video, momentarily.

here's the third remix of inkflow. this footage comp used warp stabilization in After effects and more complex blending and timing then the first, all towards a more "upper atmosphere feel". might be a few more iterations of this one up the pipeline, and again, raw assets and resources to be posted soon.

1 of 2 quick new font idea variations. as abstract as possible.

2 of 2 on that new minimalist logo font design. overlapping blends.

Now this one is a completely different version of the logo font taking things to an even greater extreme of abstraction by fusing letters together.

going to be my last record for at least a few days, as I am falling to behind on work for my thesis film and need to stop being distracted by hitREC's glorious awesomeness. remixing belcath's excellent postcard remix. tried a back for the first time in my postcard designs, too. Most of the editing to the front image was done in artrage for the ipad. I think I may be missing a few resources though, as can sometimes happen when remixing a remix.

To tell the truth, this entire design was motivated by the fact that I LOVE belcaths original patterns and swirls remix, but had always wished that the owl bear had had more division from the spirals behind him.

the second part is storyboards for an animated motion graphics bumper involving the designs. They will follow immediately.

the third part is going to be the acutal animation, and it could take a while.

loved riistan's original, did a vectorized redraw, recolored, and switched out here and how with hitrecord. :) Think it could make a pretty awesome tee graphic.

tiny doodle logo for my only slightly late re-rec video coming tomorrow, and meeting a previous challenge to me too (though I'm still going to do the other version eventually, too ;) ). Hopefully, I'll be caught up on all of those intended videos and shorts and stuff by the end of the week, but I am getting into the very deep of my thesis work, so no promises quite yet. gonna post the original re-recs it was supposed to go with by tomorrow... hopefully.

can't find a record of the error logo to cite it to, but i was inspired. might try to recreate bigger and/or animated eventually.

work towards recreating it at higher res. REALLY don't have time to do mor work towards recreating the breaking pattern on it at this scale today, but thought you all might like this version too. This piece is on a 1080x1920 (full hd) transparency.

got carried away in illustrator, using different creative tools to make up all the non red letters. enjoy. image is BIG. can be BIGGER if needed.

1080p, will eventually get around to uploading the raw ink files I have for effects.

-2 brings in "RECord"

-4 brings in "REPEAT" 

and Going back to one brings both the mechanism and the 3 word card off, replacing it with the hitRECord logo on the dowld from the last board.

A poster made from the assets for the animation. Also the same layout will be up as a PNG with no BG and transparency as an alternate way of grabbing assets.

Joe's announcement about how we gonna be on the TV, a few things at school, and a red thumbtack remined me that I've been meaning to do more motiongraphics, aftereffects, and hitrecord bumpers, so here's one I threw together tonight called smile.

color pushing, animation, tracking and text done in Adobe AfterEffects CS6, camera was my iPhone 5. Render quicktime H264, resolution 1080p.

and, of course, the mouth and the stubble are mine. ;)

This Tiny Story from epocadofim was great! I just had to try and make it into an image :)

The font is the free 'Landsdowne' font from dafont.com

The background is from a silent movie title card template from Farrin N. Abbott at CopyCatFilms.com who has released into the wild for anyone to use
