CALLING ALL HORN PLAYERS / BASSISTS / and EVERYONE ELSE!

Malicore has channeled the legendary James Brown with "Enjoy the Ride," and we've appointed him to produce this funky track that we wanna print to vinyl for HITRECORDERLY #2.

Please contribute your high quality isolated .WAV audio stems to the collab here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/797089

==

Here is what we need:

HORN PLAYERS: We wanna replace the synth horns with the REAL THING so lay down some brass over the instrumental. We could also use SAX, TROMBONE, TUBA, and TRUMPET PLAYERS as well. There's room for a SOLO too!

BASSISTS: Who's got a FUNKY BASS LINE for this? Let's hear it!

EVERYONE ELSE: ANYONE can contribute their voices:

     1) RECord your voice simply saying the phrase "ENJOY THE RIDE" (listen to this version as a reference: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/202833)

     2) Create and RECord PARTY ATMOSPHERE AMBIENT NOISE like in the Marvin Gaye track "Got To Give It Up" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRcVQDELAd4)

==

We don't have a hell of a lot of time to get this track all put together so let's bust a move and get these requests in like yesterday! :op

Chords:  Gm, Cm, D7, Cm, G#, Gm

Tempo:  Largo.  55 BPM.

==

Here is what we need:

DRUMMERS:This song needs a drum beat that's CREEPY yet SEXY. May actually does a pretty rad rendition of what she's looking for in this here video.

BASSISTS: We're going to build a GROOVE all the way to the finale when all the sounds COLLAPSE!

PIANISTS/ORGAN PLAYERS: There's existing piano, but by all means PLAY YOUR OWN KEYS ON THIS.

GUITARISTS: This track needs some LIGHT GUITAR TEXTURES here 'n there.

EVERYBODY:ANYONE can contribute their voices by getting CRAZY and HOWLING LIKE A WOLF!

==

The clock's ticking as we near the deadline to get this song completely mixed 'n mastered so let's get these contributions in right away!

CALLING ALL ROCK 'N ROLL MUSICIANS!

We would like to include this upbeat, rock 'n roll track "The Good Stay Young" on the HITRECORDERLY #2 vinyl release. Producer extraordinaire Malicore is going to put all the pieces together on this one.

Please contribute your high quality isolated .WAV audio stems to the collab here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/793452

==

Here is what we need:

DRUMMERS: We wanna replace the electronic drum kit with a LIVE KIT - something real rockin' and upbeat.

GUITARISTS: Ryan Patrick's already provided the track with a guitar, but we want MORE GUITARS to play on this the song.

BASSISTS: This song needs a NEW BASSLINE - something much tighter that stays on the beat.

VOCALISTS: Check out the lyrics below and SING ALONG to the verse that Pamagotchi has started. We're thinking MALE VOCALS for the VERSE and FEMALE VOCALS for the CHORUS.

EVERYONE: We want AS MANY VOICES AS POSSIBLE on the chorus - we're picturing TONS of background vocals on the chorus all building to a grandiose finale. It's gonna sound sick when all the voices come together!

==

CHORDS: G, C, E, Am  (Note: Ryan Patrick used a capo on the 4th fret on guitar)

BPM: 126

==

VERSE ONE:

All my life it's been a question of what ifs

Whys hows, what abouts

I'm so sick and tired of bad advice

And I've been waiting on a moment to right

All my wrongs

For the little good that's left in me

And so I've begun

With throwing out the rulebook

And now I see

CHORUS:

The good stay young until they die

Because they're too busy living to watch time fly

And whether I do it all or just something

I know I can do anything

VERSE TWO:

Take 2 steps forward and no steps back

This is no time to doubt your attack

On an ancient system

make them listen

You've been given a voice now shout

Cos a penny saved is still a penny

But with a hundred dollar bill you can do plenty

So fill your coffers

With tempting offers

Until you find the one you seek

We've got a tight deadline for this so let's get to work!

CALLING ALL HORN PLAYERS / ORGANISTS / PERCUSSIONISTS!

"Beat 714" is this ill jam by Robo J that recently got taken to the next level when vocalist ibkellymorris hopped on. Now we're calling out to ALL MUSICIANS to bust out your instruments.

We'd also like musicians to RECORD TWO DIFFERENT PASSES (one playing along to the rhythm and the other a straight-up solo)

==

Please contribute your high quality isolated .WAV audio stems to the collab here:

==

Here is what we need:

HORN PLAYERS: We'd like to get some Trumpet, Baritone Sax, and Trombone onto the track.

PERUSSIONISTS: You can add to the rhythm by adding some Bongos, Baracas, Shakers, and Congas.

ORGANISTS: We're thinking something like a B3 Hammond Organ or a Rhodes Keyboard would sound sick on this song.

==

There's less than a week to finish this track so it's time to break out those musical instruments and let 'em rip!

THANKS!

==

NOTES:

Neighborhood of F minor with a tempo of 93bpm

The main chord progression is based around a descending F minor pentatonic riff:

4/4 |: F minor | C minor | A-flat (Major) | Fm - Cm :|

There's a little turnaround that leads back to the main progression, which is in C minor throughout

The breakdown is all F (no major/minor, but it leans on a major)

Here's the format according to the time duration of the track:

0:00 - 0:10 drum intro

0:10 - 0:20 main riff (1 time through)

0:20 - 0:50 verse 1

0:50 - 0:56 turnaround

0:56 - 1:16 chorus (2 times)

1:16 - 1:56 verse 2

1:56 - 2:01 turnaround

2:01 - 2:43 breakdown*

2:43 - 3:22 chorus (4 times)**

3:22 - 3:27 turnaround

3:27 - 4:07 chorus (4 times)**

4:07 - 4:12 turnaround

4:12 - END (first measure of breakdown***)

BASSISTS: Add some bass that really rides with the tune; something simple and subtle.

PIANO PLAYERS: We want to hear some piano notes on this beat, something to put the cherry on top of this track.

Time is of the essence on this song since our deadline is real tight, so let's get on this one right away, shall we?!

THANKS!

Here are Curlyevan7's Lyrics!

Driving south

I moved away

Calling home now LA

The promise land is down the Malibu highway

Sweet Summer sun

All year-long

Dries those tears from Mount rainier I got what I needed

You left me behind

I learned I must earn there are no free rides

I had forgot who I wanted to be

It hurts to set you free

I couldn't stand on the side anymore

Selling a dream that you worked so hard for

I bought my first car and I drove it away

Headed south to LA

You can't change the climate

You can accept or deny it

Either way the rain or shine won't change

Our truth is silent

You can't bottle or buy it

No matter where I go it comes along

I got what I needed

You left me behind

I learned I must earn there are no free rides

I had forgot who I wanted to be

It hurts to set you free

I couldn't stand on the side anymore

Selling a dream that you worked so hard for

I bought my first car and I drove it away

Headed south to LA
