All hearts for this week. Anything you want me to see or respond to, please link here. Thanks!
My mom told me this when I was little, and I hated to get up in the morning(I still can't.)
but in hungarian,it was rhyming.maybe someone can turn it to a tiny poem or story?
it's just a quick sketch, but I think this could be a great story, maybe an animated film, you know, the legs of the bed could turn to real legs or something.I like the feeling when dreams mix up with reality.I imagine an animation/comic about that.Maybe the bed finally carries her/him/them to school?Whats the reaction of the classmates and teachers?
anyway,it could be a funny/dreamy/bizarre comic/animation/short film.
I can draw phases.not sure I can put them together,but..I can draw them:)
He sucked.
In all senses of the word: the sad vampire has a strawberry milkshake addiction- as well as this he is banished from vampire society for being vegetarian. He gets his protein from soya. He spends his lonely nights at a milkshake parlor bathing in self pity.
I don't where this story is going...? Want to help me? :)
This is Babbish's original vocals and guitar with some added background.
Really rough beat. Might add to it later. Would love to see rapping on the verses, and singing mimicing the mellotron line.
Sampled Pamagotchi's 'Charlesleston de la Rue' at 00:53 -- looped and pitched it down, made it the base for this song.
120 bpm
he doesn't talk much and when he does, I usually ask for him to repeat himself.
OK.. this is a really happy song idea, here!...Even for my standards. I was trying to conjur up "The Smiths" early vibe on this song, musically(I know I failed) but Hey, the full structure for a tune is here!
Would love to hear a fun cool POP/Rock vocal melody a la "REM", "Dave Matthews Band", or "The Smiths" - Always heard harmonies male & female.
-Again, please don't mind the mix for this.
*All musicians welcome*
Quick mix of the parts I just added. The Mix for Bass players is the basic track.

For some reasons I've always been fascinated by the stories of spirits living in the woods/forest, in my country we have a lot of stories like that. So since I saw Sojushots amazing drawing It's only a Matter of time, I wanted to make something like that, so I did this remix and included one of my favorite characters at HR (is like a spirit), made by a hitrecorder named With Pencil in hand, if you are not familiar with them, go and check this profile and enjoy With Pencil in hand's drawings.
I think there could be some cool SFX for the cutaways. Maybe city noises. Wind/whoosy things for the quick inserts at the start.
Then at the end, to help it all build a lot.
But I'm not good at foley or sfx so... have fun wid it!
Many thanks to Robo_J for sending me the cut of 'Ravens' sans drums. Sans lyrics. Sans everything.
So I just joined HitRecord and thought I'd share a recent song I wrote and recorded. Feedback is most welcomed!

Do you believe that a whisper can stay on the wind? Could someone saying they love someone else travel through orchards and over hills? I'd like to think so. Everyone needs something to believe ... |

A song i recorded with a guitar, my mouth, my lungs and various other internal organs.
It is about my wife and i and the first few years of our relationship. It was a hard road, not because of anything to do with us, but outside circumstances. We made it. We got through.
Feel free to do whatever you can/want with this song. I'm handing it over now. It's all yours.
This is an edit of wirrow's Give Me All The Flickering Lights. I originally thought the whole video should be one large flickering light but quickly learned that this poem is about a lot more. Or maybe it isn't...?
wirrow - I sincerely appreciate these words. thank you for sharing them.
Well, this is my Record #1000. I can't believe it. Thanks to Vedder, for letting me know about the fact that the last record that I uploaded today, was the #999. Thanks to Hitrecord for the inspiration, thanks to all the Hitrecorders for your support, love and friendship.
Cheers! For many more to come....
Gaby
I wanted more visual repetition, but I didn't want to be too choppy...suggestions?

Hi hitrecorders:)
This is my first upload , whoop whoop:-)
That was an experiment on the loop station. Recorded in line in through Edirol Recorder. My daughter's toys and 14 layers of vocals gradually. Turned to be a nice drone for a proper song. Needs lyrics, panning and mixing.
My friend Dave added bass to it.
Go with a flow, there's lots of nice textures here to play with.
Enjoy listening and remixing!

Hedgehog playing ukulele.oh yes.
So I joined Hitrecord two weeks ago.
I bookmarked it in January, but it seemed complicated and I was at the university all the time painting and drawing and etching dry points and making prints and so on.I was working a lot and I was tired and sometimes disappointed.I felt that I have to do some "serious" artwork.and that I have to forget about these lame potatobears and about illustration.Nobody told me that,it's just that everyone around me painted these huge abstact or hiperrealistic paintings with hidden meanings, others were making cool and minimal and fashionable tipography and designed cool Iphone apps... I admired all these stuff my friends made and it made me shy.I love drawing since I was born but this year lot of times I did not enjoyed it and it scared me.This semester sucked.
But then I joined this site and I found all these tiny stories and lovely illustrations and friendly people and I started drawing without even noticing how happy I am!It made me realize again that I wanna do this.Maybe one day I'll do cool tipography and I'll be an Adobe Illustrator guru too,but I'll be still drawing bears and birds and hedgehogs.Thank you :)
Tomorrow,I'm leaving Hungary for three weeks,hitch-hiking with my boyfiend and see Jack White (yaaayyyy!!finally) and my friends in Paris. And then the Radiohead in Bilbao.
I am so exited.I have a handwritten list of tiny stories to illustrate and pencil in my backpack.:)
So see you soon, have a nice summer :)
Sophie
I used empty, by tori. thank you.
-also inspired by part of JOE's, How we do it here... specifically this part:
"... Again, that's how we collaborate. We don't possessively cling to our work, we Release our RECords for the community to collectively refine, revise, and remix. We call it reRECording. It's fun, and it works..."
again,
thank you.

I left out the white boxes typical of comic/graphic novels so that letterers can have a bit more freedom with insertion of the lines from Metaphorest's poem. Have free reign!
"From a distance,
Henrietta Hexagram-Head
looked just like a star.
So, when she fell from a tall tree,
instead of rushing to her aid,
the watching witnesses made wishes on her
(Which never came true)"
This was intended for Henriette Hexagram Head---but maybe someone else can come up with a tiny story for it?
As I said before, I am not the best with animations, but I am learning, my brother Rob is really good with animations, so he helped me to do this one, since I saw this drawing made by soju, I imagine her dress being moved by the wind, and also the flowers and grass, and I added some kind of wind/whistles, as a resource that I found at HR that I think it fits perfect with the animation, hope you like it guys! :)
