this is sound is created when i position my brass guitar slide on the 12th fret of my acoustic guitar, and rub it against the strings, like a bow, at varying speeds.

This is a song I wrote from the perspective of my kid niece to my just born nephew at the time some 5+ years ago.

This tune really means a lot to me and has an ultra sweet innocent vibe about it.

Also, Please don't mind my oh so crappy falsetto and "Horrible guitar playing at the time"-

I got inspired by LilacAmy11's ideas for this project. I used some footage that she suggested, but in my own edit. I hope you liked it.

wanted to play around with it a litlte bit 

This is a project I had queued up for a while. I really loved fractaldust's poem, and asked deeasherself to do a reading because I could hear her voice saying the words as I was reading it. 

The poem itself reminded me a lot something Joe says in his "Why do I hit RECord?" video that has become one of my favorite quotes: “Records are a way for me to know that I am there. Because otherwise I could just, sort of, exist here in my own head, and…how would I ever really know that I was there at all?”

I've always thought about the things we leave behind-the records, the memories, the photographs...but lately I've been thinking about how, just like everything else, they eventually disappear. Films deteriorate. Photographs fade. Digital files become corrupted. So maybe this is a bit of a reflection on that. Or it's just 3:30 in the morning and I'm thinking too much again. :o)

Either way, enjoy and remix away. 

I love andrewhip's poems, and since WILL YOU READ TO ME is one of my favorites, I wanted to turn it into a song... I hope you like it! You can find the poem in the resources, I remixed it a bit.

I also looove "monsters, mermaids, castles and kings" by sojushots, so I used it as custom icon!

I wanted to do a fun piece with a retro sci-fi feel. Lines done in SAI, saved as png file.

This is the score I wrote for a short animated film called "Cupid." Figured you guys could use parts of it or the whole thing for videos or something :D

Wow this is my 100th Record here on Hitrecord and I am already a lil bit over a year part of this community! And with this little record I just wanna say THANK YOU to everybody on this site simply because I love it here! This community is so full of incredibly creative, inspiring and nice people. I am amazed how everybody is treating each other with so much respect and care! I am currently trying to figure out what I really wanna do and I know I am still far from being a real artist but you showed me where I wanna go and what I would like to achieve! So thank you for that and thank you for every heart that pushed my self confidence a little higher =) and thank you for this awesome art, songs, videos, papercuts, illustrations and so on that amaze me and put a little smile on my lips every day :D!!!

haven't messed with watercolors in a while. i bought this set for less than a dollar here in the philippines. so just testing it out. more records to come finallyyy

I really liked GabyVaughan's remix color scheme, so I decided to try my hand at it. I added back in some of the outfit details and a background hopefully fitting for a spacer. I hope the colors aren't too dark. Enjoy!

Palovana's recent and simple statement inspired this image in my mind. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted, but you get the point! Enjoy!

i'm currently in the philippines and the houses, or so called "squatters," are very compact. the houses are made out of various cheap materials; the tin roofs are all assorted colors. of course, in this record, I illustrated it with a more cute, light-hearted vibe as opposed to reality.

I found the photo of "riistan" and thought I could fill it with chalk drawings. This is the result obtained so far. Surely I will be adding more pictures as the days go by.

You also feel free to add more drawings to the mix. :)
