Ladies and Gentlemen, we're very pleased to present how we propose to split the profits from Tour 2011.
This is perhaps the most complicated profit proposal we've ever presented. In order to give everyone ample time to examine, cross-check and consider, we'd like to open the community discussion to 4 weeks (as opposed to the normal 2 weeks).
A little background: It didn't seem fair to split up numbers based sheerly on profits made by individual performances. For example, TIFF was an event the community focused on and that got a lot of attention, but it didn't make any profit. (Film Festivals do not pay for us to screen). At the same time, a few college shows earned more profit than some of the rock club gigs in SF and Seattle. Based on what we believe to be fair, we allocated a percentage to ALL our live shows of 2011.
We're really excited to be able to post these profit proposals and are looking forward to some healthy and positive discussion.

After expenses, the profit for this production was $115,096. Half of the profits go to hitRECord.org LLC and the other half will be divided amongst the contributing artists whose work was used in the documentary.
We want to know what you think of the profit splits we have proposed for the community's half of $57,548.
This production was divided into the following categories: Video, Live Performances, Keynote Slides, Pre-Show Music, Halloween Pre-Show Music, Pre-Show Slides, and Pre-Show Animation.
