here's the collection of RECords I've made entitled "Beat (#)"
while some of these are actual beats, as in drum loops, the term 'Beat' is used as a means to title RECords that I can't really think of a title for at the time of creation, some of which include some melodic/harmonic structure.
say hello to my first RECord, released 1/1/11
gtr/bass/drum programming/mix: meeeeeeeeeeeee
Neighborhood of F# in 6/8 time.
Variations of a drum rhythm I created via Ableton.
Was trying to find something to put this to, but I ended up deciding to leave as is, for the opportunity of someone using it and doing something with it.
Each variation is about 8 measures long. Enjoy.
this comes from two sources ~ a sound i created from my ambient piece Waves & Shores (conjured up around April 2010), and a rhythm/synth idea i created in May 2011 out of inspiration to find a groove for the sound.
this has been a work-in-progress, but here's a basic idea for it. more ideas are bound to come later. and please feel free to fill the space with whatever you please. i have my own ideas about it, but i want to hear yours :)
figured I could either waste time figuring out what to do with this or i can put it up for creative grabs. do something with it if you wish. a voice perhaps?
while working on a REmix of "the prize," i got this riff in my head. so i put prize on hold and worked on this.
sampled a bit of Lava Tornado and another tasy find from GwenInterrupted's trusty loop collection.
Guitar, Bass, Arrangement ~ meeeee
rather than sit around with it, i'm sharing it in its "rough draft" state. or whatever.
i'd love to get someone doing a nice hip hop flow to it. or something of that nature.
this is why i hit RECord.
This RECord can now be heard on the HitRECorderly #3 Vinyl (released Summer 2012) as "Diamond in the Rough"
check it out here:
there's plenty of space to fill here.
since i don't have my electric instruments atm, i offer this up to anyone who'd like to record something with it.
riff, motif, bassline, melody and/or words. anything.
possibilies are endless. enjoy.
This is the beat I made on the train while listening to the train bell rhythm that EldreddWolf was RECording at the same time on our way from NYC to Philly, via Amtrak, to the HitRECord On The Road show.
I included his RECording to match it up.
I included my own RECording of the train as well, which I can upload if anyone wants to use it, along with the isolated beat as well.
first new guitar electic RECording in over a year.
feels good to get this shit going again.
with the exception of the drums, everything else is me on guitar.
