Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present to you our new hitRECord's Resident Curators!
Resident Curators are members of the community that will be featuring RECords based on their area of focus (Video, Audio, Image, or Text) that the community can focus on.
==
Just to recap, each time a Resident Curator features a RECord they will be posting an accompanying remark that will include the following:
* FEATURED BY: Name, Resident Curator of _____
* DATE: --/--/----
* COMMENTS: The remark will cover some of the following points:
- What speaks to you about this RECord?
- Perhaps you can suggest a good collaboration to contribute the record to?
- Suggest ways the community can remix the RECord.
==
So, without further ado, we present to you hitRECord's second round of Resident Curators:

Heree's my video! I'm so sorry that it took so long to upload it, I've had some problems with my internet connection... and sorry that it came out so quiet!
Here are the lyrics for my introducing song:
I'm going to help curate
audio records, yeah, which is great
I can't wait to get on board
Now then sit back and let me tell you
what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna go through
All these amazing records
I'll be searching for tracks that'll give you kicks
But most of all stuff that could be easily remixed
and if I find something cool you haven't heard 100 times before
I'm a make you guys hear it - and many more
So that's about it, thanks for listening
Now ge out there and start hitRECording!
I'm so excited and honored and nervous and happy and everything!! thank you :)
<3
(by the way, when I say "I tried making an introducing video but it didn't really work out because it was really boring" I meant to say that the video came out really boring, not that the making of it was boring! :D hahah oh stupid me...)
Hi everyone, this is my curator introduction video.
I'm am so excited to be given this opportunity and to be part of such a talented group of people.
Just as a summary, the video RECords I
Outstanding Inspirational clips - this maybe creative short films, short animations or just amazing visual idea's. They don't neccessarily have to be complete or polished products, as long as the idea or story is original & clear and has the potential to be developed.
Great Stock footage - there has been a load of great films made on HitRECord almost entirely from stock clips people have uploaded. Even the most ordinary of clips can be be given new meaning and life.
Real Life Stories - One of the things unique to HitRECord as a production company is the fact that we have talented artists from all across the world. I really like watching real life genuine everyday stories and these have the potential to be developed into documentary series. I also really like the HitRECorder profile video's of people talking about themselves and their art.
Knowledge - I would love to see more examples of sharing our skills through video, but across all mediums - song writing, drawing, wrinting etc alongside more traditional software/equipment type videos. Even user made 'How to HitRECord' type video's would be great for new users....all done in a creative interesting way, obviously!
Some of my favourite HitRECord Video's are in the resources. If I miss anyone, please let me know.
Outpouring of love and gratitude! Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity.
Also, this video was completely shown up by 12:42's "2008-Beijing-Olympics-Opening-Ceremony" of an Intro video :D

Little rushed but I had fun and I hope so will you remixing it.
Sundance 2010 & meeting so many of you at the Vista was awesome. I hope to have many more years of hitRECording with this great community! <3
You are all so crazy awesome!
:D
A note on martial arts...
I love both film and martial arts to point of obession, I'd love to see more martial arts records, because I think all of the fighting arts are beautiful, spiritual and just badass awesome footage to play with.
The system I train in is Filipino Kali-Silat mostly the Lacoste-Inosanto Kali and Ilustrisimo mix and the Jeet Kune Do philosophy/concepts that Bruce Lee & Inosanto shared. It's like a mash-up remix of martial arts, which reminds me that everything is being re-recorded, re-remixed, all the time everywhere. That's f*ckin' awesome!
A note on software n' equipment!...
I use Final Cut Pro v.7 & I have Adobe's Production Premium CS4 Mainly use Adobe After Effects for animation & effects sometimes use Apple's Motion (both work great). I shoot on a Canon DSLR the T3i with a manfrotto tripod and sometimes a cheap Halo Rig. If I remember to I record the audio seprate on a zoom h2 audio recorder and clean it up in Soundtrack Pro. You don't need all this stuff, ok except for a tripod or really steady hands the rest is all just spontanious creative magic, let it flow out of you like sparkle dust.
WARNING: contains scenes of graphic awkwardness and waaay to many "um's".
