Ambient; A rain storm slowly builds and passing as tribal drums come to carry you away...

An older ambient track. I downloaded a bunch of samples of rain and thunderstorms. I attempted to recreate the feel of a passing storm, perhaps in an unfamiliar jungle at night. The track is mostly an ambient sound scape, fairly relaxing. Towards the end some tabla and other drums pick up to carry you away...

Some readings just seem kinda fun to add sound effects to

I'll pick up Regular Joe's conditional apology and run with it, at least to acknowledge. But I also agree with the rest: RECords should be put here in order to encourage them to take on a life independent of what your intentions might have originally been for them. They're like children. They're gonna be who they're gonna be. Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, and RECorders gotta RECord.

Part II of my contribution to the black and white collaboration.

This photo is meant to showcase the other side of Michigan. While we do have a lot of modernized cities and factories, the state is also full of rural areas and forests. I took this in the beautiful Upper Peninsula (which is mainly made up of forests and extremely small towns), on a vacation last summer.

Sorrow1
Sorrow bird sketch using traditional media, desaturated and cropped from original hard copy drawing. Thinking of redesigning and or redrawing digitally, adding colored eyes (red, glowing?).

I think the poem and reading this is a response to would be a fun short piece to animate.

Other ideas for further collaboration:
-using Cuspchild's "daydream" record as a background (with the sorrow bird placed in the lower right hand corner)
-additional drawings of sorrow bird for use in a possible animation
-adding color to aforementioned background, altering colored record's saturation for animation purposes (such as panning into the scene at full color, then fading the color out upon the animated arrival of the sorrow bird)

My personal favorite piece of mine.
For well Trees are kinda my thing.
( They keep my inner child going... I climb 'em and Play in forts!! And hello, Oversized Swings hanging from Oaks.... mmm mmm)
Anyways they are one of the greater symbols of LIFE.
In our roots, are our family and love!
Our faith is in our branches
And we are the knobby trunks.. (woop woop)
Our love and faith make us beautiful! =)

Masada9_3153
A ritual bath with a view.

In Judaism, there is a ritual where one bathes for spiritual cleansingL the mikvah. Probably where baptism comes from. As is the way with Judaism, there is a very specific structure the bath must have.

This picture was taken from the mikvah on top of Masada, an old fort on top of a plateau in southern Israel. It was the last stronghold of Judeans as the Romans conquered them. The Romans built a ramp of dirt and stone to reach the gate. When the Romans busted in, they found only the dead. The Judeans had drawn lots and killed each other rather than submit.

The mikvah there is still kosher according to Jewish law. Some things never change.

Bleeding Heart : Letter 1

These started out as letters to a lost friend and then turned into letters to myself. They might make sense they might not but they are honest.

Letter 1.

One night we discussed, shared, and discovered a kindred soul. A soul and heart that is deep, that it only makes sense that we must feel more to fill the empty pace. I have never met someone that understood my pain, my passion. The emotions that were so consuming, I drowned in their relentless waves. That night I still wasn

A local Church Steeple against storm clouds I admit I manipulated this image. It is what it was supposed to be, but I waited for an hour for the clouds to get into the right position & they never did. So this is a local church steeple that was against a background of a gloomy grey sky, and I edited in the storm clouds from my Tornado in Costa Rica photo.

One of the most amazing things about living in the "Land of Enchantment" is the near-nightly lights show in the sky. This photograph was taken in northern NM on the drive back from CO.

beach, sunset, san diego, sunset cliffs

Photo taken last summer at Sunset Cliffs.

Growing up a So-Cal girl, the beach is what i call "my release."
It only takes me 15 minutes to travel west, where i can dip my feet into the pacific and escape the world.
Most my growing up took place along the shorelines.
The water was there to comfort me when i cried, laughed, relaxed or just lived.
I hope that all my beach pictures can emit that "peace of mind."

My first attempt at audio editing, sorry if it's a little rough. Remixed using Audacity. I can upload the different tracks I used upon request.

One thing I wanted to add, but was having trouble with was an accelerating heart beat in the background (using Jolynne's "Heart Beat-Throat" record).
