After sitting in a chair for thirteen hours straight fixing the thing yesterday, Phonentek let me push the button late last night (early this morning) to put our site back up online.

The Roll Call Collaboration is rocking it -- thank you all for creating all those introductions. We're likely going to screen this one at Sundance and to do that, we need to take all those intros and cut them into a tight slick super-engaging short.

Re: Love is one of the oldest and most active Collaborations in hitRECord history. I'd love to see it revitalized and rocked.

Add more Resources, Remix what's there. We cannot use anything copyrighted (Like De La Soul's This is a Recording song)

This one is happening! We really need BACKGROUNDS and ANIMATORS. Show your stuff. The Kid, Narrarator and Judge are already up. The phone dude and the litigants are on their way. Sallydanger made them easy to animate. Reverend Alex did the singing and voices, and TheLif recorded a rough of the music so we can get started on the animation. Think School House Rock South Park Anime. I dig this concept and it's looking like a Sundancer to me - Get on it and let's make this awesome!

We're putting out the call for musicians far and wide to add tracks to Sean's song. We want to have something great to show on Friday. We're looking for your parts. Read the lyrics, and consider that each planet has it's own voice. Got something cold for Saturn and her core of ice? Does spartan Mars' chilling wrath make you want to pull out your timpani? And what about our good old familiar Earth?

We'd like whatever conventional instrumentation you can play, for sure. But unconventional things are great, too. The thing to keep in mind is that this is a lullaby. It's a delicate song, and there's only so much space to fill, so consider that (as people love to say), 'less is more'. If your idea only concerns a particular section of the song, by all means, send it along without regard to the rest if you like.

We plan to present this collaboration to Sundance and the wider world on Friday. So time is of the essence. If Sean's song inspires you to something musical, please hit that RECord button in time for us to have your record by Thursday. Let's make this beautiful song even more beautiful together : )

First step in getting our contributing artists paid is making sure their contributions are cited as Resources of the final Result RECords. We want to make sure everyone's accounted for before we present you guys with our first draft of the payment percentages.

Did we incorporate your work into one of the final short films that screened at Sundance? If so, make sure your work is cited as a Resource. Go to the finished RECord you contributed to, and open the drawer of "RESOURCES & RESULTS" -- it lists the first six in the drawer, and if there's more, you can click to VIEW ALL.

We tried to make sure every Resource used was properly cited. But we might have (probably) made a few mistakes. So let us know. If you're not on there, and you should be, write a remark saying so.

Rian Johnson recently wrote and directed THE BROTHERS BLOOM; his first one was BRICK. And now, he makes his first foray into hitRECord collaboration with a poem he has written entitled The Man in the Herringbone Hat.

He's thinking maybe we do it first as sort of an audio-play like the old radio days. Who wants to do a reading of it? I will soon. But we'd really like a variety of voices. Especially an old man's voice. Anybody got a grandpa with a flair for a turn of phrase?

I left the camera on for a bit after Philip did his (fucking awesome!) reading of Rian's poem. We want to make it into an audio production, sort of a radio play, with music, sound effects, the works. And any ideas for visual interpretation, animation, etc are also welcome...!
