a place to store my sounds
this is a song i wrote with an old and dear friend from high school (ronton, whose song "baby" is here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/85593 ) one day years ago i sent him the lyrics, deep in the throes of some infatuation gone awry, and he sat down and this came out. originally recorded on guitar, which is arguably the best version, but for this harpsichord version we dubbed in my harmony vocal one year when i was visiting him back home. it's always felt a bit magical to me the way it all came together......
a little water music.
a song i put together for the 2nd version of the MetaForest, which i imagine as a video....but i am swamped with work right now and it looks like it will be ages before i get to it, so why not let you guys play with it? :-) it's basically a repeating theme with variations on each repeat, plus a small bridge. it could easily be edited down to less than its current 3 minutes, so if anyone wants that, let me know.
ok, kids, for your REmixing pleasure... i grabbed one of the segments of joe putting his signature on the checks, looped it, then asked my sound engineer sweetie-pie to try and remove some ambient computer noise. of course he couldn't resist playing! and this is the snazzed-up result. pretty fun! & hopefully useful to you music monsters out there. <3
this is totally embarrassing (esp after TCS's excellent song) but i mentioned to sarah i'd do it, so i did. at work today. lol.
new songbird in the pasture the last few days. got me up the other day to try and RECord its lovely song. anybody know what it is? (maybe a thrush?)
this is looped with some other recorded snippets i altered here and there. hope it's useful for some cool stuff somewhere!
because it sounds like aliens.
the previous dove .wav slowed down quite a bit. maybe these would make a good loop in a song somewhere?
finally caught this guy outside my window, calling to his/her mate, who was sitting on the fence. this audio had a bunch of sheep sounds as well as wind noise, so i ran a filter on it, which took out the noise but made the surrounding birds sound like they're from outer space. (i like that!) the slowed-down version of this is cool too. hope they can be useful somewhere.
birds are trippy. sample it, modify it, add it to your sonic stew. ♥
