Neon sign in Austin TX during SxSW 2009

The sign was inside the place. I didn't really want to go in the place. But you could see the sign through the window. That "zoom" feature can be handy. Can't get around the mullions though.

We've got a pretty huge theater... trying to work out how to make it feel more intimate... adding a stage... a lot of it will have to be done with lighting, I think.

I know the posters for the upcoming SXSW performances on the 20th are going to be collaborative efforts from the streets of Austin, but I thought I'd just throw out this visual as a reminder that the performances are meant to be RECorded.

ntheon did a great job finding this awesome pirate image, which served as an inspiration to appeal to anyone in Austin that's into "video piracy."

A shot from Morgan M. Morgansen's Date with Destiny at SXSW

Johana (alias Gimik_Jo) told me that she would like to have "hatrecord" like a poster. So, I Re-Rec it but I did some changes to have a best quality for impression, a best black and a best red. The size of the poster could be : 92x70 cm

Now, we must find a good printer or be well equipped...

Right before SXSW, we muster all the volunteers who have agreed to help put the shindig on to fill all the registrant bags with the goodies. It is quite an experience!

Over the years we have got it down to such a fine art that we knocked out tens of thousands of these in about 2 hours. Somewhere on YouTube there's a great time-lapse video of this year's stuffing.

Imagine my surprise to see the requested materials at hitRECord's 2nd SX offering.

I was so happy I took two pictures of this proof of the power of the people.
