This is a new version of The Little Red Balloon.

Me and Tom have been talking about doing a version with the poem he wrote for a while now, so hopefully this all works together. I found some lovely music called 'Underneath the lilac sky' by 'ryancohen' which I think fits really well too.

There are a few changes to the original, or rather little clean ups. I've added a new title which I think looks a little more professional, as well as hopefully making it look a little better with some changes to the colour. I also added the hitRECord logo to the end

If anyone can do anything, or wants to with it... please do. I was wondering if anyone could maybe do some graphic titles, or if backgrounds can be made, or just general effects, but I have no idea... haha.

Oh, and hopefully the quality is okay. When I exported the edit it was a massive 700+mb, but i thankfully managed to shrink that down, hopefully without too much loss.

First attempt at uploading this failed. So apologies for that!

I bought a new camera recently (mainly for the purpose of HitRECord so I have something I can easily shoot with), and yesterday thought I would test it out. It doesn't actually look like this, I was experimenting and found a stills camera with no lens on the front, and the reflection looked like this.

I'm just experimenting really, but it could come in useful for something at some point.

Thought I would try my hand at creating an invitation and a sort of welcome video, and here's the result ^____^ (very simple stuff, not flashy in the slightest). Tried RECording it before but it cut some sound off and also uploaded a bit funny, so hopefully this has sorted it all out now.

This is a clean version of the animation, with no sound or music. I have just realised I accidently left the terrible titles in at the beginning, so really sorry about that :( I have resourced the script I put up incase anyone would like to record a voiceover or even create titles or anything.

Thank you to those who have helped me and also taken the time to comment or recommend this animation. I made it a while ago, and it's just been sitting on my computer for a while now, so it's really heart-warming that it might get a breath of life to it :)

As a side thought, maybe someone could do something with the script by itself if you want, I don't know what generally happens with everything, but it will be interesting to learn as I go along. Thanks!

Thought I would try my hand at a bumper, but couldn't get an official hitRECord logo onto it (effing Windows Media is shite! I want a Mac so I can use Final Cut!), so it probably won't be used, but it helped me pass some time, and I quite like it anyway. Nothing flashy or special... just simple and sweet (kind of).

Just had a go at drawing a quick sketch in an animation way... and although the finished thing is little to be desired (the character went from being quite cute to ugly in a matter of seconds) I thought maybe it could come in useful at some point. Who knows with this place? haha.

P.S I don't normally draw in computers, so this was a bit of a challenge, and I still prefer the old paper thing ;) Also didn't help that I used a mouse and not one of those fancy drawing pads... but y'know, no harm done.

Sorry for the mumbling and low quality, I have never recorded anything video-ey with me in it before. I was a little bit nervous (and actually cut out lots of 'Mmm' and 'Err's). I also go out of sync... but I'll pretend that was a stylistic choice ;)

I also sound really cheesy... my only excuse is I did this in the morning, in a bit of a rush. haha.

You might need to turn your speakers up (or off completally, haha) if you want to hear it, I only have the terrible microphone that's on the laptop.

Not sure if this will work, or even if it's been done before, so if it has, apologies once again :) and thanks once more!

After looking on HitRECord today for something to REmix (something i've not done in a LONG time and which i feel I need to do more of again, and which Gwen inspired me to do again after a little chat with her) I came across the REmix 'cbis22' did of 'Above The Clouds', a RECord by 'The Rising 7', and i fell in love with it and knew it was the perfect RECord to work on a music video for. The REmix and original RECord are both fantastic!


This footage i've mixed with the RECord is footage filmed maybe 2 years ago now (and as a warning, it is a LARGE file, just to let you know), but i filmed it back while I was at university with a friend of mine, and it has never seen the light of day except for in a dusty lecture hall. And I thought it would fit well. So i gathered together old footage, with new music RECorded, and edited them both together into this.


All lighting effects were done in camera, infact, everything is how it was, apart from the editing.


So here's my experimental video REmix of a REmix of a RECord. I hope you like it <3

This is my niece.


She is called Sophie, and she is just over 2 and a half years old.


She is a very big girl now.


She likes long walks, riding her bike and having adventures out in the garden.


She doesn’t like dirt or anything muddy. But I’m working on this.


She likes drawing and painting. She makes the most lovely pictures.


She talks too fast without thinking, and gets muddled up ever so often.


I love her far too much.


She inspires me.


These are little moving photographs from some days I spent with her.


There's Christmas, her meeting her new baby cousin, and lots of being lazy, which is what she does best.


Apart from looking cute. She's very good at doing that.
