Righto! Well many of the changes to fx shots that I did while visiting Austin were not quite completed so I wanted to polish them once me and the mommy of morganese Sarah, returned to the land of taughtie mince pies and haggis!

So...
All shot lengths etc are the same as before, so improvements relate mostly to better key frame masking, fixed colours, backgrounds, and more flowers and mushiness for the end! X

I want to give a massive thank you to everybody that contributed from the actor and artist collabs, and the music collab. There were so many contributions to choose from and there simply wasn't enough time to incorporate everyone's work that I wanted to.

Jenyffer Maria I must give a special mention to, as not only did she help and contribute (towards the unique visual aesthetic by her consistently original illustrations) but she often produced these works, with very short notice, and with frequent changes. She is a true professional and it was an honour to work with her.

I also want to thank those who went to considerable effort to include performances, MattConley stripped off, Erika and Lizzie did amazing pieces, (and your friends Erika dressed as great extras) Sirius Dan did an amazing bird performance, and honestly - there are so many others, do not feel discounted if i don't list you all. Your all awesome, and you can that see for yourself by the fact this film could actually be produced.

This film and how it was made is a testimony to hitrecord, and to its system of operation, but its too easy to sing that plaudit blindly, to forget that it is all of you, contributing artists that make hit record work, that made this film work. A team effort where we all had important roles to play *hugs* So give yourself a round of applause because im certainly applauding you.

I will soon revise the record to include more resources used in the film, (in between shooting a lovely film about windfarms!)

Soon I hope to start a new film project collab that I hope you may wish to work with me on!

Mostly just thanks again for Sundance. We're hard at work figuring out the specifics towards paying all you contributing artists, and this Friday I'll be making the first announcement about that. Also, Alice hits RECord, a looking glass collaboration in the works. Then there's Reluctant Her.

PS - I'm calling this #12, even though there isn't one titled #11 right now. I guess all those Sundance RECquests will have to count for #11. Hey, if anyone wants to cut together a bunch of stuff from Sundance into a Regularity #11, it'd be some holy work!

The future is bright! Sundance screening artist compensation numbers ever so close! Almost done cutting new episode of Morgan, co-starring our new Lionel, Chan! Also next week, I get to announce plans for our next production!

Regarding Alice, I've an idea that I haven't quite got to finish trying out yet. But I think it could make for a loopy right RECord.

If The REGULARITY is once a week and presentable, REMARKS are all the time and ugly. But effective. New home page will free up our FEATURED RECords for more artful stuff. Also, RECords can now have ICONS, so this place is about to get a lot prettier!

just got a new 1TB hard drive today.. its a G-Drive from G-Tech ( in my opinion the best maker of External Hard Drives) and i decked it out with some proper attire

This is the version of Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny that screened at Sundance 2010. Throughout the festival, this is the one we'd show as our example. Whenever anybody asked, "what is hitRECord?" this was my answer: "Here, watch this short film we're making; you'll never believe who did it and how!"

Albert proposed an off-kilter writing exercise, and then Metaphorest's beautifully strange short story inspired it all. I read the story aloud, Jenyffer.Maria started drawing the characters, Tori animated Jen's drawings, Lula and I did a live-action rendition, Lawrie Brewster took the project to soaring heights with his gorgeous visuals, and along the way there was the help, encouragement and roughly 180 contributions from throughout our community. We brought it to Sundance, and Nathan coaxed the lush and vast music out of the newly coined hitRECorchestra. (Good_Girl_Indie has written out a fabulously detailed timeline documenting what happened and when along this RECord's progression.)

Not only did we close our (two) official hitRECord screening(s) in the New Frontier Microcinema with this piece, but the next day, Sundance added it as a short film to play before the award-winning feature HOMEWRECKER on a much bigger screen.

I actually watched the thing again just now. And I can whole-heartedly say that, besides the progressive methodology with which it was made, and besides the warm reception it received at Sundance, just purely as a little piece of art, as a short film, as a RECord -- I'm as proud of Morgan M. Morgansen's Date with Destiny as I am of any work I've ever done.
