I recently was listening to some of the music on here and I kept thinking to myself, "Man, I would BUY that song!" So why don't we make something for sale?
I know there are hitRECord DVDs and books in the works (and obviously posters and t-shirts for sale), so how 'bout we add a CD to the mix.

After I posted this, Marke added that Joe had mentioned pressing a vinyl in his last Regularity video. I don't think we could make a CD without also making a (vinyl) record:)

I've added the records that people already recommended. Please add more!:)

(Thanks, Marke, for the advice on how to use the site better:) I'm (obviously) still new.)

Take two! There was an odd note sitting in the middle of the other one which drove me nuts so its gone.
Will post the parts to this version as well.

I love pixel pilgrim's song. I added some drums. There's a lot of excellent sing-along moments. Anybody frisky enough to give it a go? Also, I find the whole thing très cinématique, so who's got some visuals for us?

Overnight tonight, I'll upload a zip of all the stems/resources/ProTools files, etc. (YIKES! the tech problems grow and my shit's erased! unless some miraculous recovery happens, the files no longer exist! Well, I guess I'll just have to play these drums again. It'll be better the second go-around) This could definitely use a better mix, ahem...

I wanted to add more stuff (bass especially) but, surprise surprise, i'm having troubles with the ol' REC Room rig, and at this point it crashes when I add anything new to the project? :o/

Also worth noting that I generally like to encourage everyone to record themselves on video when playing music. You just never know when that visual element might come in handy. I did not do that here, partially out of tech frustration, and mostly because my soul really just couldn't wait to play the drums already :o)

Nothing big
Nothing grand
Nothing useful
Nothing planned
Nothing smart, or at least not very
Nothing revolutionary
Nothing urgent
Nothing hot
Maybe quiet
Maybe not
Nothing hard
Nothing wet
Nothing naked, well not yet
Nothing witty
Nothing wise
No big deal
No first prize
Nothing solemn
Nothing set
Nothing much to give or get
Nothing now but me and you
Nothing more, thanks, that'll do

This is my full claymation music video dedicated to bloemday (sigh)
I did this stop motions a few years back using my Sony DVX-1000 and some plasticine clay. Originally entitled "The Chicken Road" - I've renamed it <3 Bloemday

This has a very important message about being chicken when it comes to love -and- how ingenuity and eating beans can overcome all obstacles.

Brace yourselves :) Lyrics listed below

Lyrics:

Well there's a joke that's as old as can be,
But it's a question that's been puzzling me
Why does a chicken - cross the road?

While the clock sings his tick-tick-tock,
A little chickie's somewhere waiting for her cock,
And all I need is...
Just to cross that road.

Standin' at the roadside,
I'm only thinkin' 'bout the hearse.
But if I don't cross that traffic,
My loneliness will be much worse.

So I must be brave and strong and be true,
And find a way to make it over next to you
There's no solution,
But to cross the road

Every single step I take,
Well my knees they start to shake
And if the others knock me down,
I'll hit the pavement without a sound

I've got an idea it's a clever one too,
How I can get myself across the road to you
Don't hold your breath now...
But you should hold your nose

This time I did it yes it worked,
And we'll never be apart.
Except this feeling in my stomach...
Makes me wanna cut a great big fart

Here's a lesson for all of you,
Beano is best before your vegetable are through...

Take this suggestion...
Not indigestion...
or flatulation...

Just one pill will do.

Here is my take on the Row Your Boat idea. All voices are Regular Joe's as well as the beat box. Hope you enjoy!

Also, as per Joe's suggestion, the song is in the key of A flat major and is at 117 BPMs. The chord progression is A flat major - c minor - D flat major - b flat minor ( I - iii - IV - ii ).

I wrote this Seussian poem when I was younger describing a made up creature called "The Fiffles"

It went something like...
"Ahh yes, I remember the Fiffles
They ate waffles with pickles and played wiffle ball.
A curious creature with far fetched features, the fiffle stood four feet tall.
..."

What I have here is a hip hop instrumental that has energy similar to the Fiffles: something Silly and Seussian.

Ideas for collaborations include: emcee with whimsical content, video artist to accompany the soundtrack, musician to remix (just ask for stems!), someone to create a children's story.

Word up!

this is a rough draft of a song that i'm working on, i'm not the best at recording yet. =)

lyrics go:
i've been going in circles
with you in the center
i was burnt by the fall
i was burnt by the fall
ran your hair through my fingers
the haunt of it lingered
i was burnt by the fall
i was burnt by the fall
I buried all traces of you in the woods
for the animals and insects to sift through
they'll find you in pieces
if they find you at all
i wrote your name in a circle
put a lock of your hair in the middle
and i burned it all
i burned it all
i fanned the smoke with my fingers
making sure just ashes lingered
and i burned it all
i burned it all
I buried all traces of you in the woods
for the animals and insects to sift through
they'll find you in pieces
if they find you at all
i took your
spell off of me
i washed my hands
of our synergy
i loved you to pieces
i took your
spell off of me
i cut the
strings of your memory
i loved you to pieces

I recorded two versions of me doing a descant over this. This is the second one. Joe, Chase, and community - I'll let you pick which one you like (if either).

I really dig this song, and I am feeling "frisky" enough to add some sing-along vocals ;)

Unfortunately, the version with Joe's drums wouldn't load on my music recorder-mix program (it sounds like this project is being plagued by tech problems:( I really like the drums, so maybe someone more tech savvy can help us out? I have the file with the tracks seperate if necessary.

I tried to do this a few days ago, but I think this version is better. I added some harmony. I'm really liking the combination of these two RECords and the whole dreamy quality to it. It reminds me of a lullaby.

I tried to get rid of some of the static at the beginning, but I apologize that some of it is still there.
