This short film was originally put together for a video contest being held by the band 'Emery' and Tooth & Nail Records on YouTube. The event was sponsored by X2Gen. During its run in the contest it was the top rated, most viewed, and most commented video of the day, for several weeks in a row. It was in the top 2 finalists and received over 28,000 views. We wrote, filmed and edited this entire film in a total of 3 days.

To clarify, the story follows a young writer who has run into a case of writer's block. He is stuck at a point of his story that he cannot seem to get past. As he begins making intricate changes to a single moment, objects begin disappearing from the world around him. His obsession to overanalyze and remedy his mistakes eventually cause the entire room to disappear from his grasp until he is left with absolutely nothing.

The song deals a lot with purity, faith, and the initial sexual boundaries faced in young teenagers. We wanted to relate this as much as we could without being too obvious, by using symbolism and metaphors. Overall, the story really just reflects on taking something that may already be sufficient, does not actually need a change at all... and letting your compulsion and ideas overtake it until it is ruined. I think we can all relate with that whether it be a relationship, script/story, decision or any creative project in our everyday life. In one way or another, we are all a perfectionist at heart.

I used to work 3rd shift at a newspaper printing press. I got off work one night to see the sky glowing orange and red. On my way home i noticed the enormous flames filling the sky. I happened to have my camera with me and this is what i was able to produce from these shocking and powerful images of arson.

This is my first real project with Progression Pictures that had somewhat of an intent or purpose going into it. I took a trip out to DC in May of 2006 to visit some family, and wanted to put together a creative little piece of video to document the process. There was an older version of this video that people seemed to really enjoy. So I left the intent of that video while at the same time giving it a shiny, new, updated facelift.

This was the first official short film I ever created. It was filmed, edited and completed in the same day - taking just under 8 hours. In many ways, it shaped the style and direction I would later develop and implement as a filmmaker.

The following imagery had no intent or purpose while it was being created. It was simply a series of different environments and situations to help prepare for future projects to come. Little did i know, it would become the first stepping stone in my artistic journey of short film cinemetography. It contains a sense of beauty and inspiration that i hold close to me.
