Programmed and designed as a workable .NES ROM (playable on the Nintendo Entertainment System itself and through emulators). Fully controllably screen-positioning and strobing palette.
Created using software made by the great Don Miller: http://no-carrier.com/software
Note: This animatic is meant only as such. Only as ideas and guidance, I have ideas beyond this and I know animators and illustrators will bring their ideas on pacing, scenes and their own style to the table.
DR SWEET-TOOTH'S SHOW OF WONDER
this was a show like nothing before
it had acts like you could never imagine
the most unique creeps, the freakiest of geeks
and in just one man’s head they were fashioned
“i’m Dr Sweet Tooth”
the ring-master bellowed
from a soapbox atop a brass cage
“we’ve a wonderful night
so don’t fright, just sit tight”
as bright flood-lights lit up the stage
“our pianist below has seven fingers each hand
but chooses to play with his toes
our trapezists are blind, dumb, deaf and wild
and neither can smell with their nose”
“how on earth do they smell?” one man, had to ask
“awful” Sweet-Tooth jeered, with a grin
but the laughter was stopped by gun fire shot
as twin shadows rose, limber and thin
the ringside retreated
front row seats, once a treat
were a stones throw from two amputees
gangrenous and bloody from months of neglect
splints tied to both of their knees
“monsters!” men screamed
half to warn, half in jest
as the stilt-walkers stumbled about
every child in the room cheered at their grace
but every mother did nought else but pout
catching and tossing
one tip-toedly toppled
and fell heels over head to the floor
dropping knives, torches and clubs
was clumsy enough
but it was the eye-ball that caused the guffaw
“that looks like an eye!”
a little boy cried
and would have kicked it
had it not blinked
“it’s a dodo eye, boy!
the last of it’s kind”
but the little boy wasn’t convinced
“if that is it’s eye then where is it’s socket?
and, more so, where is it’s head?”
“well, my good lad, i’m glad that you asked
Act II of the show can commence”
infected, ill-fed, by all means close to dead
all his feathers were matted and flat
weary and coarse, worse for wear, he flopped forth
in a waist-coat and forlorn hat
held breath and hung lip, the boy started to quip
but Sweet-Tooth’s old whip got there first
it moved through the air like the tail of a mare
and as it cracked the bird started it’s verse
such round of applause
as it squealed, squeaked and squawked
all daylights caught in it’s wonder
unlucky for them and a curse ever since
an uneven fate for their blunder
they didn’t look up, not a second, not once
from this unusual comic display
they didn’t notice the freaks hobbling out of the tent
or the lions being freed from their cage
Dr Sweet-Tooth proclaimed, still top and tails
on his brass cage, dapper and proud
“this cage that i stand on is meant for one man
built not to keep in but keep out”
the lions let roar as folk ran for the door
but the lions made short shrift of that
and with Dr Sweet-Tooth safe in his cage
he watched the pride slowly get fat
“those who survive, will join our show
swords for supper and fire for dessert
and those who are weak and meet their demise
well, i’ve heard dying on stage is much worse”
this was a show like nothing before
and to be fair, there’s been nought like it since
but every night that i heard
“welcome, ladies and gentlemen”
well, by gosh, it didn’t half make me wince
the universe isn't made of atoms
it's made of tiny ponies

Using a mesh of those who have already contributed to the project, I have created the first more colour version of the animatic.
We need:
Animators.
Animators who know how to make movement realistic, who have an interest in tackling either full sections, or the entire film.
There is a set being built by the fantastic Mallory which can be seen here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1137027 and will be worked into the film.
Warning: May trigger photosensitive epilepsy or flicker vertigo. Please be advised.
[Full Screen is highly recommend]
Created using an algorithm that increases the crunch spiral points exponentially beyond our visual retention rate with a negative correlation to the exponential frequencies at the origin point.
HitRecord TV brings you the best in independent programming. I'd love to watch a daily dose of worthwhile HitRecord programming. Encourage 90s-style cartoonists in particular to create more. Note: The visuals were made using After Effects. Both the visuals and music were then run through a VCR and recorded, giving everything that lovely warmth.
This track is from my release World Head Law: http://edwardshallow.bandcamp.com/album/world-head-law If anyone is interested in remixing any other track on the album, comment and let me know. Otherwise, enjoy and remix. Music is made entirely on a Nintendo Game Boy.

Made with a variety of samples and a trusty drum machine.
Note: We'd really appreciate higher quality and larger images (300dpi in .png or .tiff format).
PS - "An older voice, someone who's 30" 30 years old and upward, I should clarify.
He was a zip dragon.
16 seconds long. Seamless loop. 120 bmp. All samples mangled.
Cranked the sample beat I created down to 75bmp, added melody.
With voice-over by girlafraid. Everything is cut to the beat, the melody drops off after the voice-over begins, allowing for added instrumentation throughout. bpm of 101.
Dr Sweet-Tooth Sketch (Part 1) 00:00 - 00:15 An animatic using pre-existing images. All of the images are available through the collab page.
