This is a collection of teasers, trailers, intros, bumpers, and all-around coming attraction RECords that I've edited together.

Teaser for the "Creation Myth" collaboration to highlight some of the contributions (so far) to the "a new hevn" project. It's also supposed to play like a preview before a feature, hinting at the story and giving a glimpse at the audio and visuals.

Ozie's cool animation provides the bulk of this particular coming attraction's moving images and Johnnyclyde's music was sampled and remixed over RegularJOE's narration (and the audio is best heard with headphones.)

Too strange and surreal for an introduction to "hitRECord at the Movies?"

On a side note, I really like the direction that thesherbethead and Edward Shallows took their collaborative intro. So I wanted to REmix their sound effects sequence a bit and then build off of that into something a bit... weirder.

Here is an updated version of the previous "Shadow Beings Collaboration (teaser)" with an added "coming attraction" title card, some sound effects, and less BFI audio toward the end.

Extra thanks to missamerica for providing some great constructive criticism on the first version regarding the audio at the end. I agree with her 110% in that it works best without the final sound byte, leaving more emphasis on the narrtion and its content.

Here is an updated version of the previous "Pocket Autopsy Collaboration (teaser)" with a new (and much more uptempo) soundtrack, a "coming attractions" title card, some additional sound effects, and some different cuts here and there.

Same goal as v1 though: Promote the collaboration in a teaser trailer format.

Here is a theatrical trailer I cut of "Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo."

I know that everyone was absolutely ecstatic today when Lawrie unleashed a work-in-progress "visual cut" of the new adventures of Triple M. Soon after I embarked on this trailer, and I tried to make it as close to a theatrical teaser as possible.

This was a tougher task than I expected because the dialogue is almost completely in the narration, so cutting away to conversations is nearly impossible. The sound effects aren't in place really, so I had to mostly rely on Nathan's score (also in the work-in-progress stages.)

I had to do a fair share of rearranging the musical score, making each of the themes fit together and also fit the narrative structure of the trailer (re-introduce Morgan and Destiny, introduce Lionel, and then make a suspenseful montage of the plot and action.)

This is for you, Lawrie.

Basically just a really rough test version of an introduction to the "hitRECord on Halloween" show. Just wanted to get the ball rolling on compiling and cutting together some creepy visuals.

Day Glo's voice over was used for the announcement (intercut with Richie et al.)

I'll give it another go once the official copy for the voice over announcement gets released and there are more graphics to play around with for titles, graphics, etc.

The uncertainty of the intro voice over leaves a lot of room to expand the opening, so - for now - I focused mostly on the end montage of horrific (and rather campy) Halloween imagery.

Made this promo spot to try and highlight a little of everything about the upcoming "hitRECord At the Movies (in London.)"

Note: You'll all have to excuse my poor dubbing of Joe to get him to say "What kind of movie theatre 'hit(s) RECord?'" I tacked on that "sss" sound and it's an ear sore. But I wanted to keep it anyway.

In an attempt to change things up for the third "Summer In the City!" intro, I edited an "intro to the intro." Using dandruff's striking musical piece "Truly Human," I cut together images from the first two "SITC!" shows and then bridged it into the "SITC Intro" by RegularJOE (this was used in the first show and segues into thesherbethead's "Rockin' Edition" teaser.)

The vibe of the "Creative Process Intro" is definitely slower and more reflective on the community of hitRECord, but I think it might be an interesting way to REcap the first two shows without an all-out nostalgic approach. Instead it captures some of the key moments, the live collaboration, and the nature of the community and its members. Then things get jamming once the transition to the other intros occurs.

Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn't.

Let me know what you guys think and feel about this concept.

Here's an early attempt at a trailer for the live "Summer In the City!" shows in New York City. It's more in the style of a teaser trailer, with minimum details and information.

I have some ideas for future trailers that are definitely more comprehensive. Below is a list of resources that would be really helpful to have so more artists can work on some trailers:

* Video invitation by Joe (similar to the ones for Sundance and SXSW; unedited raw footage would be especially awesome.)
* Official title cards with event information (essentially slides that all have the same font and have the essential details for the shows.)
* And maybe the layers of the official poster so they can be animated.

...just some suggestions.

The itinerary for each show is likely "TBD" but I'm assuming splicing footage from the "Morgans" and "Nebullulaby" into future trailers would be appropriate as those are likely to be screened.

This is my second teaser trailer for "Summer In the City!" and the theme is still "LoVe is on its way." The visual motif is that people are looking up to the sky for love, and hope. It is on its way... to New York City.

Here's a bumper I did for SXSW that also doubles as a bit of a behind-the-scenes teaser for "Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date."

I want to do a little series of these to highlight Lawrie's "sneak peaks" as well as really show the craft involved in this production, from the white screen acting to the vastness of post-production.

I'm going with the tagline "Everything comes together." For those of us on the site this has a special meaning.

The second in a series of short bumpers highlighting the filmmaking process of the new adventures of "Triple M."

This teaser showcases a bit of Lionel and has a much different tone than the first one I cut of Morgan and Destiny entering the Zeppelin Zoo.

If that was Mozart, then this one is Hendrix.

Third in my series of "MMM2" SXSW bumpers featuring white wall-to-post production comparisons.

This time we see Morgan in action as he tries to escape the cage in one piece.

Also, I can't track down the audio track I used here. I usually keep a pretty good file on all the music (and this file is named "Real Smooth." Any help in tracking down this RECord would be much appreciated!

I wanted to go in a different direction (literally) with the final installment of my "Morgan M. Morgansen" SXSW bumpers. This was the most fun out of all of them to create and I wanted the grand finale to be the fight scene between Morgan and Lionel, and of course cut the bumper to one of the few rap songs on the site.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed this series of bumpers. They were a blast to work on!

An unofficial sequel to the "Morgan M. Morgansen: Radio Trailer" I recently did, this short is television based. I wanted to once again set the piece in the olden days and throw in some more retro technology references. Here it's bad TV reception. The hair brush-back during the fight scene was my favorite moment of the new "Triple M." I definitely wanted to find a way to loop that scene.

One of these days I'll learn some better F/X and make the graphics more high tech.

There are lots of RECords hitting the site in anticipation for the upcoming video footage of "Morgan M. Morgansen's Eleventeenth Date: Zeppelin Zoo." So I delved into the Public Domain archives and edited some old radio footage, sampled sarahalyse's old fashioned radio ad, and tossed in some of Lawrie Brewster's prime artwork based on Lula's video shoot photo.

I'd love for someone to REmix this and make all of the footage match the worn out look of the Public Domain stock and maybe play around with the concept some more. I'm thinking of maybe making a series of these radio spots.

I loved Robert Redford's quote pertaining to "today and tomorrow" when he visited the REC Room. I tried to immortalize that quotation, and summarize the way his presence made me feel, with this short Sundance Bumper.

I used the audio track "Exp_1.5.2_v2_" but couldn't locate it to resource it properly. It is an amazing piece of music.

Based on the words of renowned CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow, this is an updated version of a RECord I did a few months ago entitled "Lights In a Box" and condensed into a SXSW bumper.

I re-RECorded the voice over and thought a zoom in on a computer screen was much more appropriate than a television. Also, I wanted to keep the screen blank until the very end so that people would concentrate more on the words than any distracting visuals.

I caught JOLYNNE's bumper interpretation of Tori's "c'mon kitty" animation and added the bumper copy to it. Then I re-worked the voice over by JOLYNNE and added a dose of RichieMillenium to the beginning of the REmix.

I've been riding the Rosewood STD font for my "SXSW" logos, but it just didn't fit this round. I went with Bauhaus 93.

Here is an abridged version of Joe's "SXSW Invitation," edited into some of the ol' Public Domain stock we all know and love so much here on the site.

I wanted it to be a bit like a mini documentary, complete with a narrator at the beginning, and then sort of flip it into something we watch people viewing in their home.

Simple. To the point.

This started off as an experiment. I wanted to make a "getting ready for the Fall Formal" video and try to collaborate with other hitRECorders across the globe. The idea started with the goal of getting various contributions of footage and editing them all together into some kind of story involving the Fall Formal event. This final product somehow ended up with a motorcycle chase, a diamond heist, a double-cross, and some sensuality.

It's funny how a video collaboration like this takes shape. So much is dependent on community participation, and I was very fortunate to have a bunch of wonderful submissions for every REquest I put out. Every contribution was so awesome and I want to thank everyone who got involved for taking the time to act, film, or do voice over work. It was very difficult to narrow down all the contributions into the ones that are in this final version. I am so grateful for everyone's support and involvement.

Now I just hope you guys enjoy the video!
