1. "anguish" (palpitation) - One of the most powerful images I have ever seen regarding September 11th. For a photograph to embody all of the emotions of that day without the visual backdrop of Ground Zero, or even New York City, is very rare visual storytelling.
2. "Roving away" (la.jeune.vieillesse) - Easily one of my favorite audio RECords on the site. I used it already for a song: http://hitrecord.org/records/201758 but I'd really like to see how else it can be used, especially for the "Row Your Boat" collaboration.
3. "A Good Sky In Motion" (12.42) - First of all, animators always astonish me. And this piece is just so intriguing, visually striking, and a great example of a hitRECord REmix. It'll be great to see what others do with this animation.
4. "Tiny Stories Sent Out On Pizza Boxes" (Issaness) - The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was the Project Mayhem montage from "Fight Club" where the space monkeys go around changing signs. I love underground movements and leaving Tiny Stories all over the world would be a great form of art. Remember how Obey started?
5. "A Little Dream" (ForestKnauff) - A lot can be added to this musical RECord. It will be interesting to see who collaborates with Forst on this gem.
6. "the werewolf // the static light" (tonguecutsparrow) - The beat to this jumps out at me the most, but all in all this is just another fantastic RECord by tcs that could be used in a variety of ways.
7. "Reel" (JollyVan) - I used to work at a movie theater and did a little projection here and there, so this photo reminded me a lot of those days. But I think this RECord is great inspiration for future posters, graphics, and animations. It's also a reminder to everyone doing digital work that film still exists.
8. "Different London" (littlemisstalented) - This is one of the most interesting "re: Cities" submissions. It's raw audio with lots of sounds that occassionally become disorienting. But isn't that the nature of a city sometimes? It'd be awesome to see video put to this.
9. "staring contest (reading)" (InkedCanvas) - This is a great way to do a reading. Do it multiple times. Hopefully this will serve as inspiration for others to try reading things in a variety of ways, and uploading them all into one file.
10. "Mrs. Turner reads a Tiny Story - SitC3" (LizSmalls) - I don't think I'm alone in saying that Mrs. Turner's presence at "Summer In the City!" took hitRECord to a whole other level. This photo (which Joe pointed out has "stories" projected onto her) is a great representation of the community here and how each of us has many stories within us.
