Hola Peeps! Trying to jot down ideas for Fall Formal story as per this week's REGULARITY. So, here goes:
What if tiny RECording devices red lights ablaze are scurrying around like nanobots on some gray, storm-skied distant place. This place should feel like the cusp of something. The REC devices begin to scurry (read ASSEMBLE) into shapes like various domicile/landscapy bits and...a THEATER (but not the look of a town hall). the THEATER should be grand, old-fashioned feeling, but somehow clean-lined (can we also do a touch of patina with sparkle?) and maybe have a big oculus. Did I mention it's night time, therefore stars will be visible (maybe even shooting stars) as the clouds start whizzing by a la time lapse. Finally, this THEATER and landscape solidify. There's a big burst of energy (an explosion visible from space that expands then contracts to pinpoint? Supernova-ish? I'm kind of picturing the light you see when the Enterprise goes into warp? Can we even do space?) that pulls people i.e. attendees, audience, hitRECorders (could get actual peeps -->collaborate here) from...wherever - bed, rooftops, offices, cars. Maybe time could slow with the explosion-to-apparating so people don't say "What if the car crashes?" etc. Oh - so people will APPARATE (I'm thinking the feel of Morgan/Harry Potter, kind of black smoke wisps, but not necessarily) into this THEATER. The should leave in their workaday garb and appear in their beautiful to-the-nines bits (varying vintages?) and smile/acknowledge each other like new old friends. As every seat fills, RECords could begin playing, I dunno, alongside/in front of/near the guests, in midair like mini projections or holograms (not sure, dream a bit here). Finally, packed to the gills, all lights ablaze, the THEATER a hive of activity and resplendent, GIF images from RKBear's poster began APPARATING to center stage (or center something). We see one last guest/RECorder, a small child, APPARATE just at the THEATER's entrance. She's holding a tiny REC device. She whispers to it "Thank you" as someone (maybe RegularJoe) leads her inside...and ya'll take it from there :^) But seriously, what do you think?
Addendum: The appearance of Lionel at the Zoo was more slinky and less abracadabra than I'm currently picturing. Wasn't there some apparating in the Morgan flicks? Maybe, just think Harry Potter for now ;^)
