This is a Holgaroid picture of the Ha'Penny Bridge here in Dublin, Ireland. I wasn't born here though. I was born and raised in a small town in Germany and moved to Dublin in 2009. I had never really lived in a city that size before and was a little hestitant at first. I had lived in Cork, Ireland, for more than 3 years beforehand, which is a town compared to Dublin. People actually warned me about moving to Dublin; they told me it was too big, quite dirty, anonymous and fast-paced. Dangerous in some parts of the city even. However, one and a half years later I have to admit: I love living here! Yes, it can be dirty at times and it does look a lot nicer when it is not raining (remember, we're talking about Ireland here) and you might want to avoid the odd dodgy area, but I do love it nonetheless. It has a very open attitude - which might be due to its multicultural, international inhabitants - and the music scene here is just incredible!
This photo depicts my idea of Dublin; the bluriness gives it a dream-like, almost romantic feel. I heart you, Dublin!
