In his fall formal announcement today, Joe said that it feels like an arm has been chopped off. It just made me wonder how we, as his community and family, can support him and help him. Let's be his other arm through our love and RECords.

(#3, Sorry I meant to put this one up instead of #2 as the second one turned out fuzzy and dark). I was planning on taking down the Christmas tree and making something new with the lights and actually had space in mind. So this was perfect timing. Painted some paper black, painted a few planets and binary star systems... added some paper stars and topped it off with Christmas lights. :)

Well.... this photo was just asking for a HitRECord logo remix!! Increased contrast and colour corrected it a tiny little bit in Photoshop et voila!

Undecided whether to continue refining the colouring as originally planned, or leave it as is... i think the slight roughness complements the patchwork theme.

Oh Lord, i'm so going to regret staying up to finish this, but i had to. Damn muses. Er, so. i've been wanting to do a mock cover for the lovely song Pieces, for ages. This is one version of one idea.

in those very windy days on the coast, the sound surrounds you as it plays this very particular music and it takes you to places you never thought possible.
I heard it this year for the first time, even though I have been going to this place for the last five years and it surprised me in a way that my heart skipped a beat and I fell in love with it.

On a windy day I will record it... I hope it works, so you know what I'm talking about

This picture is very Appropriate for Halloween, I take this shot the last Friday, the sky had at this moment an amazing blue and pink color, and this Black Cat decide to appear in the picture.

"It is solved by walking" is a saying about the labyrinth, which is an ancient meditation tool and a symbol for our lives' journeys. Some think it might also have served as a surrogate pilgrimage for people who couldn't travel to holy sites. As St. Augustine once said, "Wander with your heart, not with your feet."

There are various styles of labyrinths (this one is patterned after the one in Chartres cathedral), but what is defining about them all is that there is only one path. However, that one path is different for everyone, because everyone walks it differently. But you twist and turn and find your way deep into the center, and then go out again, transformed, renewed. In this Chartres-style labyrinth, the path first leads in very near to the center, but in terms of the path you are walking, you are still far away; when you are out along the rim of the labyrinth, you are actually closest to the center. This is also symbolic of our lives.

This was the old carpet labyrinth we had in the back of the nave at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, for a long time until finally a permanent, stone one was put in in 2007. (There's an identical stone one outside, too.) I had to crop this photo closely because at the time, the carpet was really showing wear and we had door mats on the corners to prevent people tripping, and that does not make for a lovely photo.

I really should try to get a similar picture again now with the new, stone labyrinth. This was shot from the gallery. If the conditions are right again, maybe I'll get something usable that could include more of, or the entire, labyrinth.

I looove the way how Layla, made an amazing combination of this 2 spectacular pictures (Sb324 and sunhatedginger)! So I decide to work a little bit with the colors and lights and this is the result! ;o)

Lilies, a common symbol of the Resurrection in Christian art, are also a symbol of the Annunciation. One day in the cathedral where I work, I went into the sacristy and was amused to see this.

Maybe Gabriel went to some other woman before Mary (Brian's mum, perhaps?), and this is what she did with his flowers.
