I shot this about 4 hours ago about a block from my house.  I had never really witnessed what these firefighters do, and I have to say they are amazing!  While shooting at the scene, the wind shifted and blew the smoke in my direction, giving me a little taste of what these guys go through to do their jobs.  Their were no injuries to the public, but two firefighters were taken to the hospital and 2 double houses were destroyed.

When I saw these flowers, they looked like tiny flowering trees like a miniature orchard. They're only about 2 inches tall.

While walking home from the park, I noticed this flower petal covered sidewalk and just had to shoot it. I wish I had gotten a little bit lower and a tad to the right

This was Angela Park near my hometown the only amusement park I've ever been to and the only rollercoaster I've ever ridden. It's been closed for about 20 years now, but there are still a few reminders of better days.

I think we've established that I am most decidedly not a botanist & therefore have no idea what these plants are, but I liked the way they looked swaying in the breeze. I hope you like them too

A local Church Steeple against storm clouds I admit I manipulated this image. It is what it was supposed to be, but I waited for an hour for the clouds to get into the right position & they never did. So this is a local church steeple that was against a background of a gloomy grey sky, and I edited in the storm clouds from my Tornado in Costa Rica photo.

Some of the flowers in the garden I surprised my Mom with on Mother's Day.  It took a while for them to come up, but it's been fun seeing different flowers every day.  It was a seed assortment, so we really don't know what flowers will be appearing.
