A reading of Sonnet 18. Just a stock reading, maybe someone will have a use for it ^__^
Inspired by tori's recent video. I think Shakespeare is an untapped goldmine for HR.
<3
Stock voice over. Thought it might be useful for someone someday ^_^
<3
An audio recording of something I am looking to work on. A bit weird, but kinda weirdly angelic. tonguecutsparrow's music rocks my socks, and this provided the perfect soundscape.
Looking to expand this into visuals soon.
<3
I wonder by my troth, what thou, and I
Did, till we lov'd? Were we not wean'd till then?
But suck'd on countrey pleasures, childishly?
Or snorted we in the seaven sleepers den?
T'was so; But this, all pleasures fancies bee.
If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desir'd, and got, 'twas but a dreame of thee.
And now good morrow to our waking soules,
Which watch not one another out of feare;
For love, all love of other sights controules,
And makes one little roome, an every where.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone,
Let Maps to other, worlds on worlds have showne,
Let us possesse one world; each hath one, and is one.
My face in thine eye, thine in mine appeares,
And true plaine hearts doe in the faces rest,
Where can we finde two better hemispheares
Without sharpe North, without declining West?
What ever dyes, was not mixed equally;
If our two loves be one, or, thou and I
Love so alike, that none doe slacken, none can die.
I hope this is OK! Let me know if you want anything changed ^__^
<3
A reading of the wonderful poem by the equally wonderful Miss Meta!
I want to be on Jackanory!
<3
Hope it is of use! If you want anything changed, let me know!
<333
I hope pronounciation is alright! <3
I thought it might be quite nice to have a stock reading of the text of Nebulullaby . Just to have! ^__^
A recording of Ziver10's favourite sonnet! Hope it is OK <3
Hooray for shadowlets! <3
Cosmic dust <3
The wonderful words of Metaphorest with the wonderful music of tonguecutsparrow
<3
A reading of Pen's lovely writings <3
Sorry I know I seem to record every second thing that Metaphorest brings out....but it is all so wonderful!! <3
I gave it a go!! <3
For Salpy (IslandProphet)! I hope this is soothing and does credit to your beautiful words! <3
Dedicated to Ally Alpal, who inspired and encouraged me to give this a shot. Don't think anything can beat her reading though.
I played a lot of Lisa Gerrard while recording this <3
I'm working on a video for Tom's poem...this may or may not be the VO used. It's a bit stereotypically Spanish. The flamenco...the guitar...the fact that it's in Spanish.
Anyways, thought it might end up being useful for someone else!
PD music from musopen.org
<3
For Jordyn. Because this poem is so moving. She is fantabulously talented <3
5 takes!
<3
The wonderful kristannuccia revised the italian text for wirrow's "and a new earth", so I had to give it another go!
I am sleepy...so this ended up having a more lullaby-y feel to it. I think.
Oh well, this is just me geeking out and playing around! ^__^
<3
PS: Grazie MILLE kristannuccia! <3
I'm not a native French speaker, but I couldn't resist giving this a go!
I changed hevn/urth to "ciel/terre", cos I was really struggling with the pronunciation of the english words whilst trying to speak french! >.<
Apologies for any messups with accent!
<3
PS: Interesting thought: most of the drawings have been drawning hevn as the more "feminine" character and urth as the more "male"...but in french (and other romance languages), "ciel" is masculine gender, and "terre" is feminine.
Just an observation!! ^_^
Wanted to put a darker spin on some of the shadow writings, so I took @@'s Shadow Caste poem and set it to some seriously warped wirrow music. and added LOADS OF ECHO.
<3
Wonderful wonderful words!! <3
"a new hevn" translated into Italian by kristannuccia and I. Lots of fun! Thank you to anna who has been so helpful in turning my very shaky initial into something wonderful.
apologies for the mistakes in accent/pronunciation!
Mp3 is slightly warped, don't know why: i will upload a zipwav file in case anyone wants to download and play :)
A few takes! <3
Love this piece by mushr! <3
...because nothing's more romantic than a sandwich.
[Apologies for any erreurs in mon francais]
Something I wrote a couple of days ago and felt like recording. Was encourage by Julia [RedHeadMonster] to put it up on here. So...feel free to play! Music by the lovely tonguecutsparrow.
May add more to this at some point!
<3
Dans mes rêves, je peux penser comme ça . Je peux imaginer que je prends ta main, et en embrassant tes doigts, nous nous allongeons sur la terre et sous le ciel.
Et nous sentons le monde qui s’allonge sur nous deux, comme un grand sandwich universel.
Voilà.
C’est ça que nous sommes.
La garniture de ce sandwich, fait de la poussière d’etoile, du vent et des larmes.
C’est ça que nous sommes.”
“In my dreams, I can think like that. I can imagine that I take your hand, and whilst kissing your fingers we lie down on the earth and under the sky.
And we can feel the world lying down on us, like some big universal sandwich.
That’s it.
That’s what we are.
The filling of this sandwich: made of stardust, wind and tears.
That’s what we are.”
A reading of the latest version of Ginella and Danah's "a new hevn" translation..I hope it's OK!
Vive L'HitRECord Francais!
Don't know whether it is still needed, but hurrrr ya go!
<3
This just came out all comedy with the sound effects!! ^__^

I played this back to check it in my iTunes...what was the next song that came on??
Couldn't have been more perfect.
<3
Gramatically tweaked new version here: http://hitrecord.org/records/405089
Tried something a little different, hope I didn't make too many mistakes:
"Bonjour je suis Pamagotchi
Je voudrais faire une requete pour la chanson magnifique de Metaphorest, le Petit Soldat.
Une chanson qui montre que dans l'art, les barrières de la langue n'existent pas."
"Hello, it's Pamagotchi,
I would like to request Metaphorest's fantastic song Le Petit Soldat. A song that shows that, in art, there is no such thing as a language barrier."
A more gramatically correct version of the previous French request!
<3
I had to...!
"Ciao Giuseppe, sono Pamagotchi...vorrei ascoltare la bellissima canzone di TongueCutSparrow, 'The Universe is Us", una canzone che veramente mi fa sognare con gli occhi aperti"
"Hi Joe, it's Pamagotchi..I would like to here TongueCutSparrow's beautiful song "The Universe is Us", a song that truly makes me dream with my eyes open/daydream"
<3
Autumn Thoughts and Parting Song, in my mind, were made for each other. Just wanted to see what would happen ^__^
<3
An idea I had at work today...maybe we could persuade Miss Destiny to do a reading or something similar herself?!
<3
"Merry earth-spin RegularJoe, this is everyone's favoured personette Destiny on the talkline. I would like to petition the sounding of "Arrange Room For Me In Your Dead Bed" by Metaphorest and LizzieMackie a most tantalising of ear-treats!"
PS: she means "Make Space For Me In Your Coffin"
Muchly obliged!
^__^
<3
Some late night rambiings that I recorded out of nowhere!
Absolutely no logic, order or structure.
"Cinema" definition taken from the Oxford English Dictionary
<3
The language of stories, you see, is not words..but feelings.
[I recorded this on a whim and have the "lyrics" written down..but I am interested to see what people "think" they heard in this..or what feelings they got from it! will upload the words later :)]
I can upload the stems of this if anyone would like...I just really fell in love with Ozie's Strawberry Laces music ^__^
<3
A petit reading ^__^
<3
For Phen <3
I've wanted to read this ever since Amy first released it and now felt like the right time. Sorry if it's a little sentimental <3
Some V.o's for Malicore!
<3
Languages Galore! Sorry if I made any mistakes ^__^
<3
For Sabine! <3
A couple of takes for Matt!
<3
The last one is just the 3rd one without the campy sound effects..and the others...well, I don't know where the others came from! ^__^
<3
Had another stab at the voiceover for the intro.
The first section is lots of whispering of the script with a main, louder reading.
I then uploaded the stems [main reading voice and whispers] separately incase anyone wants one without the other ^__^
<3
I recorded this over the course of 2 weeks, so consistency is definitely lacking. But in the end I also thought it might provide a "kaleidoscope" of Billy, which, if there was particular interest in a particular interpretation, could allow for rerecording.
My accent gets pretty jazzy in places as well.
<3
Loved Kyleparker's "Wires" piece..wanted to do a V/O...listened to PASIV's "alive" whilst I did it and then thought to include it in the finished piece... I can upload a version without the music for remixing! <3
For sabine!
I hope i got all the lines this time :D
Hope it's not too late! There is a tiny bit of reverb on this, but i can get rid of it if necessary ^__^
For Lis <3 let me know if you need more/different takes!
Change of plan
I know VOs are coming after the video is more or less set, but I thought these might be useful in figuring out timings and things
For Mrs Pine x
A quick idea pieced together on the spur of the moment...
Sel's "Cinnamon" has to be my favourite piece of writing on the website. It works both as a song and as a spoken piece, and I thought it might be interesting to mix it together with The Automator mix..
It's an idea, and I know the mix isn't quiiite right..but maybe someone can build on this?
When I played it to thesherbethead he said it would sound better if Morgan Freeman or Dennis Hopper read it..so if anyone wants to step up to the plate, feel free! This is more to get people thinking about a possible remix option..
Mattsoar's reading really gave colour to this piece and I got inspired!
Decided to try and continue the accents that Matt started using...I like the combination of that accent and the language.
Having done this, maybe it would sound better with 2 guys? But I've done it now, so I'm putting it out there..!
23rd April is often considered as Shakespeare's birthday..so here are some readings of two of my favourite sonnets!
I was inspired to write this poem during a rainy stroll this afternoon, so I added in some of the sounds that I heard while I was walking and the words were coming into my head. Listen with headphones, it's kinda like a soundscape.
<3
*Sounds best with headphones*
Wanted to create some otherwordly/dystopian voiceover and try and reflect the mythological/modern world clash in symbiote's text.
Put some distortion on the voiceover, and added a remix I did of thesherbethead's "Boardsy", which uses the words from the Seiklos song, one of the oldest songs in the world, which talks about life and death. Thought that tied in pretty well!
No effects. I hope I read the right bits
The Scottish accent just kinda happened and I thought it fitted pretty well
Thought I would give this a go! Hoping to do a couple more takes of this, try and get the quality as good as possible
A set of takes on the intro script; also incorporated some SAT-NAV into a couple of the readings! Please use WAV file resourced for remixing!
00:05 Take 1 (Script Version 1)
00:22 Take 2 (Script Version 2)
00:39 Take 3 (SAT-NAV version)
01:10 Take 4 (SAT-NAV sayings only)
01:30 Take 5 (Script Version 1)
01:49 Take 6 (Script Version 2)
A reading x
Magic words from Jules <3
It won't let me resource this original which is here! http://www.hitrecord.org/records/227836
2 takes <3
