Shakespeare's Sonnet 29, read by David Hyde Pierce.
when I found katasul's "we were sailing the seas", I knew I wanted to make a makebelieve world where the little boys could sail off into dreamland in their little tin boat. (all the resources just fell into place so easily for this remix. hitRECord is a treasure trove.)
Made & screened at Sundance Film Festival 2010.
when i was a kid, i collected soaps. it all started with a nice beatrix potter soap that i was given as a present. my sister had jemima puddle duck, i was given peter rabbit. then, soon after, i...
It's a bit late, I know, but I began making 'Strawberry Bootlaces' into an animation last week. It was originally for Sundance but half way through making it, MarieIv uploaded her top notch version which was selected sharpishly for the show. I hmmed and hawwwd about whether to continue on with my version, but then I realised I'd been enjoying myself, so I decided to finish it up this weekend. I learned a lot & it was a good challenge for me to push my animation skills further. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. :)
i accidentally stumbled across this combination of RECords while making something else.
This bumper was made after Banksy made his presence known in Park City. I animated two photographs of his local work together. Then during our Remarks session on the 24th, Joe brought two people up from the audience to RECord voiceovers for the two characters. Finally, we wanted to show how close one of the Banksy pieces was to the REC Room, so Joe decided to RECord the journey.
I’m in the bath staring down at the scar on my knee, the ugly reminder of the tumble I took on the way to my work’s Christmas party in the middle of December. I was running late, I...
A remix of 'To This', made (with love) to commemorate the special occasion of Miss Lizzie Mackie's 21st birthday! <3
(N.B. I recommend playing this in full screen mode for the full hypnotic experience!)
i love absolutely every element of "CosmicSnow Trapeze" by PonderGoblin & wanted to add another layer to it & give it an extra cosmic feel!
A video to go with the stunningly beautiful song by sarah & lizzie. i loved enjoyduane's "short from chicago" and thought it'd be a perfect visual accompaniment.
rotascoped until my hands cramped up. nearly ever frame was hand drawn. :)
"In the beginning there was nothing. Letters and shapes were unconnected and meaningless, darkness hung over the Earth like a velvet blanket.
The Earth was formless and empty until, one day, letter joined letter and words were made.
Words and phrases entwined and danced, winding into elegant lines of script. At last, the heavens and the Earth were created - not of atoms - but of millions of tiny stories." - Penelope
this is my little brother, rick. he's pretty cool as little brothers go. we like to pretend to do outrageous things when no one responsible is home.
i made this for estherSblack's secret santa present, but also wanted to release it in this form for remixing as well. :)
i had a spare afternoon today, so i've been working on the hitRECord quilt! this picture doesn't quite show the heart in all its glory - it's a deep burgundy velvet, but the photo makes it look black... i'm also going to cut out the letters of HEART, with each letter in a different pattered red fabric & add them on top of the heart.
a tiny film about a grieving arthropod.
For missamerica's creation motivation collaboration.
