I think these RECords represent a piece of who I am and of my growth through hitRECord so far. Before this, I had never attempted to edit or cut videos before...I would do more if my little laptop could handle it =P. I get all these ideas in my head when I see records, but I have to learn how to find the time (or just doing more and getting better at it!)! I know that I have a long way to go in jumping more in the collaborative spirit, but I have high hopes and everyone here is an inspiration one way or another! <3

mp3 file for my video posted earlier in case people can't use wmv files. Look @ my video notes to see which lines are which.

Embrace
It was time for him to go home for the night. I hugged him and got a whiff of his scent, which is so soothing to me. We started swaying back and forth and he started humming a random song (which ended up being “Kiss the Girl”). I squeezed him tighter. “I love how we’re dancing to no music,” I said. He smiled and kissed me on the forehead.

I wasn’t really conscious of it before, but we do this quite often. We just hug for a while, moving back and forth in a silent slow dance, because no words need to be exchanged. I look up at him and just…lose myself in his gaze. There’s this certain connection I can’t really describe. I guess you can call it…love.

bawk bawk! I loved ManWithHat's MMM chicken chorus and since I have a little toy chicken...well there you go! I'm still poking around trying to learn how to use these video editing programs...

This is part of my final project for a black & white photography class on portraits. No classes were skipped as a result of this photo =P. I think I'll start uploading some of my photos from that class...any tips/suggestions/critique are welcome. I scanned this and resized it, so there hasn't been any "real" editing.

Another photo from my black and white film series, although I altered it from its original black and white state and added a slight tint.. This was one of my first b&w film photos, taken at sunset, so there isn't much of a contrast. It was pretty tough making prints but this is as much detail as I could get out of it!

I know I broke all sorts of rules on this, but I love the image resource with all its colors! I'm going to work on a more T-shirt-printer-friendly version...This shirt is creme-colored, btw.

Maybe too many hearts? hehe. Basically I wanted the trail of hearts to continue to the back. http://hitrecord.org/records/89598

I think I could make the back less heart-y (i.e. make one heart instead a bunch) if the image in the front was flipped to the other side, but it looked kind of funny.

I really wanted to contribute to dAN's collab but I'm terrible at finding appropriate words...I just know that although I never got the chance to meet him in person, his philosophy on living life is so inspiring, and I am so grateful to have been able to experience a part of him here on hitRECord.

Inked's record inspired me to do this video. I hadn't touched AfterEffects in months and I sort of had to relearn how to use some functions (help? what's the best way to render w/o creating a giant file? I spent 3x more time rendering different versions than I actually did making it).

Footage is from Santa Cruz, CA when I went camping last week...

It's a .flv file so if anyone wants a higher-res version of whatever type, let me know.
