38 separate stems on this one...
If you are not part of the choir, it means you either did not sing at Joe's direction, or you didnt sing in key with Chigwinkle's RECord (or both), or you had excessive noise in your RECording. You may also have spoken the words or played an instrument - I wanted this one to be strictly acapela.
I tried to retune as many RECords as possible, but some wouldn't re-tune sensibly. If you still want to be part of the choir it is not too late! Simply follow Joe's lead, and sing in the same key as Chigwinkle. BE SURE TO LISTEN TO THE AUDIO BY HEADSET while you are RECording - we don't want the sound of Joe or Chigwinkle bleeding over to YOUR RECording.
I'll re-do this next week sometime, which should give those still wishing to contribute time to do so.

1. a "shhhh" sequence (roughly 5:00 into the film during the car of the future second segment) you could use when the video talks about keeping the public away from the info.
But the FUTURE is why I am really RECording this...
2. city / roads of the future 8:07 - end
3. kitchen of the future 3:00 - 4:00 ish (I've always LOVED this footage)
4. cars of the future 2:00 - 3:00 ish & 4:00 ish to 5:00 ish
Fashion of the future: nowhere to be seen!
The other one doesn't seem to want to encode

HAPPY NEW YEAR HITRECORD!!!
It was fun going through all of your "when we were kids" photos - I got to take a good look at everyone that has contributed while they were still young at heart. As the new year approaches, this is my gift to all of you - its a family album of my new family since the middle of this year. hitRECord really does feel like my family now - each and everyone of you are so talented and supportive! So, here is my new family album for 2010 - You're ALL Beautiful!
Here's to the new year - I wish each and every one of my new family members only the best!
***Special thanks to Via for starting the "When We Were Kids" collab (it's what has kept me looking at my 9/10-year old self every day I am here - which is every day! - which is what reminds me of all the dreams and hopes I had beack then and keeps ME young at heart!!!)
) & to oceanfreethinker, who arrived here only a few days ago and RECorded all his songs on day one - "Your Beautiful" is his unbelievably soul touching song, and what inspired me to make this video - please show him your love as well:

***I took a little liberty with the fantastic story by iamcharlie, by paying more attention to the number of clouds as opposed to the number of doors - playing with the concept of what it means to be on cloud 9. I also changed some other minor parts of the story, but I think this conveys what iamcharlie was after - at least I hope he thinks so! I've been working on this almost non-stop for almost a week now - this is the most complex animation I've ever done!
Matt was right - it does work well with Pamagotchi's VO!
I remixed it to bring it back to its original screen resolution

All of these RECords were RECorded within one hour of each other.
What kind of a B-movie from the 70s would it be without horrible formatting and commercials?
SO, the producer walks in and tells the editor, "Hey, buddy, we won't be able to show that film tonight - you know, the one you've been formatting for the last week - we'll have to go with the other one." And you, the editor, realize there's only 1 hour until air time, and the film is STILL IN THE CAN!!! AND IT's STILL in 35mm Format - not ready for air. SO, this would most likely be the result.
The original film for this has FANTASTIC camera work!!! Please don't miss it.
What I did here was to apply horrible format editing (as peewee herman would say, "I meant to do that!" - except I really did mean to do that) to more closely simulate what an actual late night b-movie might look like - I even threw in the TV to make my point.

...an intro to the intro?
(sorry about the white bits around the edges - I might correct it later, but it will take much time.)
re-tuned gweninterrupted's version and mixed it in to mine, and added chgwinkle's bass, and the vocals of Kavone and DreaminPlaid. This is just a start, of course!
changed the sequence of the shots and remixed the soundtrack, adding in a little jeffpeff.
...made by using a trial version of camtasia studio to record a screenshot of a playback from a trail version of CrazyTalk.
I kind of thought this would be nice to have as an extra in the DVD after this is released to thousands of theaters throughout the world. Perhaps parts of this can be cut and added into future remixes as well?

I used clips from a great film from 1964 entitled Silent Snow, Secret Snow. The story was written by Conrad Aiken in 1934, and the film was produced and directed by Gene Kearney. He made another version in the 70's which is not in public domain, but is available if you search for it under the title on YouTube. That version was made for the TV series, Night Gallery and starred the same kid who played the younger version of David Carradine on Kung Fu. It was narrated by Orson Wells.
I thought Johhny Clyde's vision and music were practically a perfect match to this story - I hope at least some of you agree!

This is the first choral arrangement I've ever done - so there are probably many issues. I apologize if it's clumsy or not what you were expecting. Since the sonnet was written by Shakespeare in the 16th century, I thought I would attempt to match the style of a contemporary musician, Thomas Tallis - I hope some of you familiar with his work think I got at least a little close!
I'm also sorry for the glitches here and there in the recording - it seems that musescore (the program I used) has those sorts of issues.
If you happen to have a 48-person choir that fits the requirements of this arrangement ((which is a classic 16th Century cathedral arrangement slightly modified by the addition of one female part in each choir - 8 choirs each consisting of 2 boy sopranos, 1 alto (preferably adult female, although a boy soprano could also sing this part, but it wouldn't be as strong as I would like it to be), 1 tenor, 1 baritone, and 1 bass)) and you wish to record your choir singing this in a public performance - then so do I. Once we get to that point in the conversation, I'll send you the sheet music through less public channels than hitRECord.
Matt's video is fantastic - I just thought the ambience would be made more (semi-ethereal?) by adding Wirrow's song.
