Looks like we're doing these too?:) Yay. This was easier to find a bunch (cuz I just went through my hitRECord playlist on my iPod:) but WAY harder to narrow down. Hence I didn't follow directions and my list is way too long. Sorry. We have too much good music on here:)


 


Dance Dance Repetition Jeffpeff FULL MIX by jeffpeff - This song is amazingly awesome. I wish I was a hitRECorder when this came out because I'm dancing around the house to this all the time:)


Church on Sunday by may mcdonough - May always does an amazing job with her music, but this is my favorite of hers. The vocals are just so sultry and lush.


Soul and Serotonin (+ bass) by Krrr - Love this song... this was one of the first songs I found when I joined hitRECord and I've been in love with it since. Just discovered the bass edition and that makes it perfect.


Half of Me orchestration (final) by hedge - Beside just being a lovely song, this RECord represents the hitRECord process at it's best


honeyhead by wirrow - I love so many of wirrow's songs it was very hard to pick just one (I needed to narrow a little). Chose this one because not only are the lyrics/story bizarrely awesome, the instrumentals are great too. I love the drums in this one. 


The Final Poem (Gooa Nott Mix) by Chase_Horseman (sorry I don't have the Os with the cool symbols over them on my keyboard:) - This very well may be my favorite song on hitRECord. It's so gorgeously done and the change to upbeat and the end is just incredible. 


Sick Again + Female Vocals by Lizziemackie - just a very cool song... the piano instrumentation matches the lyrics perfectly to make a really haunting combination.


soft lightning by tonguecutsparrow - Wow. I just love this song so much. There's kind of a lack of really rockin' songs on HR and this one is just so great. Love the drums in this too. 


I Dream by MCore - How lovely is this song? Makes me happy to listen to (and very well done:)


Pine Needles by megancarnes - such a beautiful instrumental piece


Bath Soundtrack by PASIV - this piece is so emotional for me for some reason. Gorgeous.


Wintersleep violin REmix by michellek - Again, just a lovely gorgeous instrumental piece


It Starts with a Glitch (DVD Mix) by Haus_of_Glitch - I know it'll be on the DVD but I thought I'd include it here too since it's pretty much one of my favorite songs ever:)


Burn On as a ROUND (Lizzie Mackie leads) by todd68976: Lizziemackie created this beautiful chant for dAN and bunches of us added on. todd68976 mixed it into this lush, full round that's just amazing. But .....


burn on by wirrow: .... I love this version too. It's a lot simpler, but I think it's gorgeous, especially with the subtle guitar wirrow added. Also I love InkedCanvas's reading of MadWithHat's poem over the chant. 


 


And if I HAD to narrow it to only five, like at gunpoint or something, I would pick:

So, i think that's my final version of this song.

It captured all of my attention for last two weeks. It was very first record I've recommended here, and now I can say that I love it even more.

You know, I've never worked with string arrangement before. Even more, last time I've tried to write music was 1.5 years ago. But it made me do this. It was the craziest creative experience in my life, I've learned so much, I've made some mistakes, I've spent some sleepless nights writing arrangement and then - trying mix all the tracks in the only right way. And I want to say some words to some very important people.

Riana, you have not only beautiful voice, but also unique talents of singer and songwriter. I'm really proud of working with you, and it's so incredible that we both found this site at the same time. By the way, you mus know that you have some fans in Russia now:)

Joe and Jared, I want to thank you twice. First, this is an amazing place, filled with creativity. And this site has such a warm creative community. Second, you recommendation was like a great punch for me, it was the greatest inspiration in my life. And it helped us to find all of this people, who collaborate to make this song great.

IlliterateWriter and michellek, your viola and violin parts are just a-w-e-s-o-m-e, I'm amazed to work with you. You are so great.

So, again I'm so tired, and I'm so happy. Noone can make really great things alone, and I'm sure that we all together created such a great thing (ok, it's a liitle bit shameless, but true:)).
This song made my heart burn so warm this not-very-warm summer, and I love it. I love this song, and I love everyone of you.

Now, it's done. So let's go and create something new and something great:)

This is a new mix of The Final Poem, sung beautifully by ChaneleyWelly, with strings performed by hamishramsay. This is an off-shoot of Life is But a Dream (Midnight Mix) seeing as it uses the same chord structure and piano. There are a lot of different things going on here than Life is But a Dream (most notably the absence of Row Your Boat . . . ) Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this new(ish) piece!

this song is so beautiful, and the first time i listened to it i heard a melody line. so i recorded it. i also added some harmonics and a little ponticello line to the opening. and i recorded some of the string parts that were already in the mix.
