RECords of mine inspired by the reality of dreams.
A visual examination of the patterns in reality, our mind, and the universe, set to the words of Carl Jung.

When we dream about an experience our minds tend to present our memories back to us in some sort of fragmented state. Instead of REplaying the experience back to us, often times we get glimpses of moments, of people, and often our auditory senses distort the playback in our head.
So this is how a dream about hitRECord at Sundance 2010 might look, and feel, in the unconscious state.
Here is the low-resolution version of / Parallels /. The high-res version, for remixing purposes, can be downloaded here: http://hitrecord.org/records/543369
An abstract remix of Channing Tatum's "Half a Clown."
Caught between the parallels
This great illusion shining
Like the end of a long winter
Time is this shallow dream
Held together with string
And as the shadows glimmer
The calm returns like magic
To stay until dark
Inspired by the vibes of sample-heavy '90s rap beats, here's an experimental cinematic dream sequence about revenge.
This is the "lower"-res version. The high-res version, for REmixing purposes, can be downloaded here: http://hitrecord.org/records/324350

I wanted to try and structure some kind of surreal narrative around some of the performance-based RECords of Edward Shallow. After playing around with a few ideas, I came up with this.

Remember what it was like the first time you got to leave the neighborhood alone... on a bike?
Last year I interviewed my two friends Billy and Dan Chandler (they're twins.) They did candid discussions about similar dreams and feelings they had about the way the unexplored sections of their neighborhood appeared to them.
Both brothers seemed uncertain if certain aspects of their recollections were memories, dreams, or nightmares...

RegularJOE's "Patterns & Prayers" gets REmixed and then clashes with a REmix of Malicore's "Jail of Love."
Tradition! RE/RE/REpetition! Rhythm!

Rearranged elements of Erfo's "No Dreams" and theboxsets' "True2theGame80 BPM" and combined them into a hip-hop narrative of sorts.
This could use additional sounds and some visuals.
